A date. She was going on a date with her boyfriend Jughead Jones. If anyone would have told Betty these words at just three months ago, she would have laughed right in their face. But now it was actually happening. "Anywhere you want to go, my treat this time," said Juggie. "I think I know the perfect place, " Betty said looking into his eyes. They smiled at each other. Where else would Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones have their very first date? Pop's Chock-Lit Shop, of course. They got into the truck and went off together. "Hey Pop!" said Betty. Jughead waved. Betty walked towards the usual booth the gang sits at, Jughead gently touched her arm. "Not today Betts, today is special." He grabbed her hand and led her to a table in the very center of the diner. Betty loved holding hands with Jughead. Ever since she told him about her self harm problems, he would always touch her palm when he held her hand, just to make sure she wasn't still hurting herself. He thought he was being subtle, but Betty always knew. And she loved it. It was one of the things that helped her stop, in fact. Just knowing that someone who loved her was always there making sure she was okay. The waitress came to get their orders. "Old Fashioned Vanilla milkshake for me please," Betty ordered. Jughead then muttered, "A Chock-full of Chocolate milkshake and an order of fries for me." "Coming right up," the waitress replied. Their food came within fifteen minutes. There they sat, in the middle of Pop's, holding hands and talking about everything. Reminiscing about their childhood, talking about new plans for the Blue and Gold, and of course talking about each other. "You know the thing I love the most about you, Betty?" Jughead said. "What? Juggie," Betty blushed. "It's your beautiful heart, Betty. You are always caring about everyone else. You've put everyone's happiness above your own for so long. You are a truly amazing person, Elizabeth Cooper." That was the first time Jughead used her full name. "You know what I love about you? It's that you put up such a tough exterior, Juggie. But when you let someone in, you love them so much and with all your heart. The people who don't love easily, love too much." They kissed. "I love you," they both said in perfect harmony.
Life was amazing, wonderful, it was perfect. Betty Cooper had the perfect school life, perfect friends, perfect family even, and lastly the perfect boyfriend. Jughead Jones. To most people, Riverdale's loner, outsider teen. To her, the most romantic, thoughtful, and intelligent person she had ever met. It was the perfect night, and she never wanted it to end...
