Tiana rolled out of her bed with a yawn and stretched her limbs. She walked into her bathroom which was located in her room and began to strip. She took a shower then she brushed her teeth. She inhaled a deep breath as she looked at herself in the mirror. Her long, wet, dark brown hair stuck to her face, shoulders, and the small of her back.
"This is it," she said.
She left the bathroom and got dressed in Echo skinny jeans, and her furry, tan Uggs. She grabbed a pair of silver studs, and a silver chain that had the letters TLC on it which she got from her father. She went back into her bathroom and dried her hair. She decided to have it in waves for tonight so she curled her hair. She put on a tad bit of make-up, seeing as she doesn't really like it, for the occasion. Pleased with her reflection she threw on a shirt, grabbed her car keys, and left her two-bedroom apartment.
She arrived at her job 10 minutes early and pushed through the shiny glass double doors of the Gold Coast restaurant. The place was extravagant. The ceilings were high and decorated with huge beautiful crystal chandeliers which gave the place a grand kind of charm. The seats were made of mahogany and had lush cushions colored gold surrounding the marble tables covered with a deep red tablecloth which had gold going around the bottom. Every other seat was blessed with huge ceiling windows giving them a view of the beautiful lake the restaurant was situated next to. On the windows hung huge red theatrical curtains bounded by gold sashes, and the floor was carpeted red. The restaurant had a stage which was used for performances every Friday night or whenever someone important was in the house. She breathed in the scent of jasmine the place gave off and smiled.
"Well, well, aren't you here early?" a voice teased.
She turned around and smiled at the person in front of her. He was a very handsome, sexy even, man. Hell, he looked like Tyson Beckford for christ sake, only difference between them was that he had a more masculine face and hair that he always kept braided. Other than that the man was practically his twin!
"Tyrell you know what's up. I have to be early if I wanna do good on my first day after being promoted." she said.
"Girl I know, you and your damn sanctified ass can't go a day without being Ms. Goody Two-Shoes." he said with a playful smile.
"Oh shut the hell up." she said and landed a playful punch on his shoulder.
"Damn, damn, alright. Shit. Anyways lets go and get you into that new manager uniform!" he said wiggling his brows at her before grabbing her and pulling her into the Employee's lobby.
As they got dressed she couldn't help but smile at her accomplishments. She made it far. From being broke in the ghetto and being raised by family members to becomming general manager for the most expensive restaurant in the city and owning her own modern apartment, that's a hell of a good job! She looked at herself in the mirror and her smile broadened. The new uniform from the casual black dress pants and white long sleeve shirt accompanied by a black bow tie to beautiful silky, black and red dresses each of them with a name plate with manager inscribed in big bold black letters and her name under it added to her pride. Though the dresses were a tad bit on the sexy side, they held formality and respect, cutting no lower than an inch and a half from her collar bone and fitting her enough so that the dress wouldn't fall off and not be too tight at the same time while hiding her undeniably luscious curves.
"Mmm mm mm damn you look good Tiana." a monotone voice complimented.
"Boss," she gave a wary laugh, "Hi".
