Poppy's POV:

Two months later~

My name is Poppy and I'm the keeper of the hammer. I'm on a quest to find the hero who yields the hammer and I'll never give up no matter how hopeless it may seem.
I am determined to find the hero, legends says that the hero of Demacia is the only person that can unlock the full power of the hammer and lead the nation to true greatness.
While on my quest, I have traveled around Runeterra and I've learned a lot through out my journeys. I'm a Yordle from Bandle City but my residence is in Demacia.
I've even entered the institute of war  to become a champion, and I was accepted!
I've made many friends and acquaintances through out this journey, but my quest is still to endure. Who could yield, the hammer? I'm still looking for an answer.

At the moment, I'm on vacation from the league and I've decided to take a break from my quest.
It was all very exhausting but very life changing.

I was taking a nice stroll outside, in the city of Demacia since I lived here and offered to help defend this nation from invasions and wars.
It was  a beautiful day. The sky was clear light blue and not a sign of a fluffy cloud floating across the sky.The wind was nothing but calm air with the occasional cold breeze that passed through my hair. The orange, yellow and red  leaves fell from the trees.
People outside were walking around wearing long sleeved shirts and sweaters. It was my favorite time of year; autumn. The sun was lighting up everyone's world, today.
I was wearing casual clothes, a warm red sweater and scarf with long black pants and boots from a chilly sunny day.

Despite it being a beautiful day, everyone kept talking about my friends back in Bandle City saying that there will be an interview live with Tristana tonight on B.C.T.V .
How a tragic incident happened. Me and Tristana are good friends so I was worried when she never picked up any of my phone calls or texts.
I had to get home on time, to watch.

I made my way back home, and made my way through the living room. I prepared myself some hot coco with marshmallows. I grabbed my cup and sat down in front of T.V on my cozy couch.
I took a sip and it was delicious. I tuned on the T.V to the channel, it was a commercial but a couple minutes later, it was finally live.

"Hello, everyone! Today live on B.C.T.V news we have Tristana on the show, for an interview.
For the past five months, everyone was worried for Teemo the swift scout.
Before we begin, How are you Tristana?"

"I'm doing great, thank you!"

"Right, that's wonderful to hear! Would you like to share with us the story?"

"Absolutely, it was a quiet afternoon and me and Teemo were... having...well ,hanging out and it came close to dawn. He had the idea to watch the sunset together."

"How adorable!"

"Y-yeah well, things turned out for the worse when we were attacked by mysterious people."

"You don't say! What happened, afterwards?"

"Well, I tried my best to save Teemo b-but they got to him... and injured him"

She paused as she looked to be fighting back tears, I was on the edge of my seat. I remember seeing Teemo and Tristana together at the institute and they seemed like such good friends.
This must've been so hard for her.

"I'm sorry to hear Tristana. Care to tell us more?"

"Well, after that he was hospitalized and in a coma for a long period of time. For that period of time, I was overcome by sadness as I felt guilty that I've let this happened and that I could potentially lose someone I care about deeply."

"It must've been very hard for you. I'm really glad you came on the show and shared with everyone. Is there anything else you'd like to add?"

"Yes, there is. Teemo woke up about two months ago and he will be released from the hospital in two days time and I'm sure he's watching on his hospital bed so I'll share words Teemo have told me back when we first got to know each other.
'We may counter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.' "

"You are truly inspiring Tristana and thank you so much to for coming in. You truly are a hero.
That's all the time we ha-"

I turned off the T.V and stared at my empty cup of coco. Tristana was truly heroic saving Teemo but she's not the hero that I'm looking for.

I put down my cup on the coffee table and headed outside. I was heading to the castle to speak to the prince of Demacia to inform him that I want to go visit Bandle City. I need to see my friends, it's only the right thing to do!

On my way, there I had my mind elsewhere so I've accidentally bumped into someone making them drop their books to the ground.
"Sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going."
I apologized while reaching the books on the floor to hand to the young woman.
"Neither, was I. I apologize but thank you, Poppy"
She said, it was Lux the lady of luminosity. She was wearing a light blue sweater and jeans. She had black headband in her blonde medium length hair and a bright smile on her face.
She is also a champion in the League and a very powerful and skilled mage but she's very important in the Kingdom of Demacia, too. She's a crown guard.
"Luxanna crownguard, what are you doing with all those books?"
I asked as curiosity came over me. I shouldn't be surprised that Lux was holding books she's  a pretty smart girl as she is an academic prodigy.
"Well Poppy, Lux will do just fine and I'm on my way to the library to return them. I would love to read more books about astronomy and stars constellation. It's so fascinating!
Don't you think stars are just wonderful?"
She asked with a spark of light in her eyes.
"Absolutely! I love to star gaze every now and then, but y'know there's a telescope in the library maybe you should look into it!"
I told her.
"Really? Thank you so much, for telling me. I most definitely will! So where are you heading to?"
She said cheerfully as we started walking besides each other. She's as bright as her light magic.
"I'm going to speak with the prince to inform him, that I'd be visiting my hometown."
I answered.
"How nice! I hope you'll have a nice time there! I'd love to walk with you but the library is the other way."
Lux said.
"Okay, well could you tell the might of Demacia I said hi?"
I asked her. The might of Demacia is Garen, her older brother. I was so sure he would be the hero of Demacia but apparently he isn't.
"Sure, but you can tell him hi yourself, he's with prince Jarvan at the moment. See you around Poppy!"
She said cheerfully. As she waved goodbye, I could've swear I saw stars. No, not like I felt dizzy seeing stars, like I could see small stars twinkling around us.
That's very strange it's the middle of the day, even if it was night it's still feels out of the ordinary.
I shake my head, maybe I'm just seeing things.

I made my to the castle, I sure do a lot of walking. As I approached the entrance, the guard spoke to me.
"What do you need, keeper of the hammer?"
He said in a deep voice as he looked down on me.
"A word with the prince."
I said.
"Right this way."
He said as he opened the immense door. As I entered I could see Prince Jarvan IV seated in his throne along a long corridor. I also noticed Shyvana on one side and Garen on the other.
"Ah, Poppy! Please do come forward!"
He spoke up.
I slowly and carefully walked closer. I bowed to him before saying anything.
"I came to ask you something, my king. Uhh... I mean my prince, y-your majesty."
I messed up my words as he started to chuckle along with Shyvana and Garen.
"Um.. well you see, I would like to visit Bandle City, my hometown."
I told him.
"Bandle City, home of all yordles? Am I not correct?"
He stated
"Yes, your highness. My friend Teemo has been in a severe accident and I'd like to go see him as well as other friends."
I added.
"Oh, my! Yes, Teemo that Yordle put up some good fights in the League. What happened to him?"
He said quite shocked about this news. I'm surprised he doesn't know everyone is talking about it.
"I'll tell you later, Jarvan but she must head back home."
Shyvana said.
"I see, well I have no issue with you visiting Bandle City as long as you want even. But the problem is, we will need you in case of an invasion from our rivals; the Noxians."
He said.
"I can just send a message bird for her, letting her know that she needs to come back to aid us."
Shyvana insisted, she turns to face me and smiled.
"Very well, it's settled but do keep your hammer with you Poppy. It's very important to our nation."
He said.
"Of course, but the hammer isn't mine just keeping it until the real guy shows up  and thank you!"
I said as I bowed down once again.
"Go on, now."
He said with a smile on his face.
I left the castle thrilled. It's sure been a long time I've been in Bandle.

~'When will that little Yordle realize she is the hero that she keeps looking for, my prince.'
Shyvana said to me.
'Well, Shyvana we cannot tell her that she is the hero, she is on a quest to find herself.
She must learn to believe in herself before leading Demacia to true greatness.'
I said sure of my words.
'You're absolutely right'
Garen spoke up to me, I know I am.~

I'm finally home and I started packing my things.
"Armor.. check!
Boots, check!....
Hammer, check!
Shieldy, check!
Oops, almost forgot my regular clothes."

I'll be taking the train first thing tomorrow morning, Bandle City here I come. I might as well keep an eye out for any potential heroes.
