I wake up gasping for breath as if the very life was being drained out of me. I open my eyes to see I am sitting up in my bed, not the place where I once was. Panting and trying to shake the feeling of fear off ,I look around the room to makes sure it's not another hallucination, or dream. This would be the third one this week that has had a similar messaged and location. This town. I keep seeing, this girl I keep seeing.. there has to be something connected between them and  why I am seeing this on a constant. What was it though? What...

Once I finally was able to breathe normally again my feet met the floor and I proceeded to take a shower and get ready for school. Long thoughts entered with me, as I turned the hot water on and slowly embraced its skin warming effects. I knew I had to figure out why I was having these dreams, these hallucinations. They would always come out of the blue and nobody but me was able to see them. Some strange things that I see, yet always left unexplained and vague.

As I shut the water off I could hear my mother yelling for me to come down to breakfast, so I dried myself off threw on some clothes and proceeded to make my way downstairs.

"I heard you breathing heavy again as you awoke." My mother said as I sat down at the table

I looked down because this was happening all too often and she knew something was wrong. I didn't want to tell her what I had been seeing, I knew she would send me to a doctor that would just dope me and send me to a psychiatrist, which was the last thing I wanted.

"I'm fine mom. Really. Just lack of oxygen before I go to bed. I'll be sure to keep my window open when I go to sleep next time." I said lying through my teeth.

She looked at me in disappointment, and there was nothing else for me to do but just bow my head and start eating my breakfast.

"Samual, listen. I know that something’s wrong with you. I feel it in my heart. I know you won't tell me what you’re seeing or dreaming about but just know if you want to talk I am here. The conversation will never leave the two of us, I promise."

I looked into her eyes and I knew she was telling the truth, but still, I couldn’t get myself to tell her the horrific things I had been seeing. It would scare her, and honestly it scared me too.

After I was done eating I put my plate up and grabbed my backpack to head out to the school bus. Mom gave me a quick hug and kiss on the cheek and sent me on my way. I was off to Felway highscool. A normal public highschool with the normal teens and teachers. Seemed like I was the only one that didn't really fit in. I had no friends and nobody would talk to me, like I was some type of disease that nobody wanted to touch.

The bus finally pulled up and luckily there was an empty seat, otherwise I would have had to stand the rest of the way. Nobody ever let me sit with them, they just sneered and looked away. The trip to school wasn’t long but I had a feeling that today was going to be different. There was something about the dream I had that is causing me to believe that today is not going to be a good day at all. I can't put my finger on it, but I have a really bad feeling about it.

As the bus got closer to the school time seemed to be slowing down. The trees seem to trail as they past and cars on the street seem to come to complete stops. Finally everything around me came to a complete halt. Nobody said anything, they were like mannequins. Sitting there, no expressions or emotion.

Finally I got up and waved my hand in front of one of the kids but no reaction. I touched the temple of another, and again no reaction. I walked to the front of the bus and the bus driver was the same way, still, no emotion. I opened the door and slowly made my way down the steps and off the bus. I looked in a three sixty rotation and it seemed time had completely stood still. No air flow, no breeze, no talking,  no nothing. Just a complete stop.

The only thing that was odd was a pressure I was feeling. It was not so strong, however I could feel it. Which was the only thing that I could feel. At least i knew I wasn’t dead for the fact I felt even the slightest of something.

I made my way down the sidewalk, but made sure not to stray too far from the bus. I could see the birds, frozen in midair. A squirrel stuck in midair jumping from a tree to a power line. I had no idea what to do with myself.

As I walked further down the sidewalk the pressure I felt earlier started to become stronger. Which each passing step the pressure was pushing more and more and the skies seem to get darker. Yet, I still continued down the path. It was as if something was luring me there. Like a siren luring the seaman to their death with her enchanting song. I just couldn’t stop.

When I got far enough i finally had to push myself to stop, and stay still. The pressure was almost too much for me to bear, and everything around me was almost pitch black. Only light in certain places.

I stand there motionless for what seemed like hours, not moving a muscles, I'm not sure if it was the pressure keeping me still, or the fear of taking another step into the darkness that was before me.

Suddenly, I could hear what sounded like cock roaches scurrying. The sound was coming from my right, as i turned slightly in fear to see what was making the noise my heart sunk to my feet. Beside me was a brick wall, and it was deteriorating right before my eyes. Dissolving into what looked like ashes, and floating high into the air. The only thing it was leaving was the frame work of the building.

As I tried to run back to the bus I found myself unable to move. Paralyzed in my own fear, moving every muscle I can yet still remain perfectly still like a statue. I advert my eyes to straight ahead and it was as if my soul left my body. The pure horror rendered me trying to gasp for breathe yet being unable to do so.

The girl from my dreams was standing not ten feet away from me. The dark messy hair, the dirty rags as clothes, the evil aura that surrounded her. All the same as my dream just the night before.

I could see her head moving slightly upwards, and as our gaze met i trembled with fear. Her black eyes, her stare was like Medusa, enough to turn anyone into a statue.

Our gaze continued to meet as she started walking towards me. Closer and closer the pressure I felt before became stronger and stronger, almost breaking my body in half. Such high spiritual pressure was all around us, and I can't even look away or try to escape it.

As she came closer and closer i could feel myself losing consciousness, fading out of this nightmare. If only I knew what awaiting me once I closed my eyes. Even death would be much better than was I am experiencing. The girl was so close to me that I could feel the heat from her body. She lifted her hand and touched the side of my cheek, and for the first time she spoke.

"For those who have seen the truth cannot escape from its grasp. Once the darkness set its eyes on its prey it will not stop till it's devoured. Be careful what you choose, for the wrong choice will lead you till your demise."

As she spoke her final words they echoed in my mind, and i felt myself slipping further and further out of this world. My body finally collapsed and I feel to the ground. A vigilante of darkness surrounded my eyes. Falling faster into another world that I feared would be my worst nightmare. I finally took my last breathe and closed my eyes. I was sure this was the end.
