While I adventured, and journeyed through unexplored lands, and foreign kingdoms, I saw many a great and awesome things.
I saw trees twice as tall as they are here, with trunks as wide as twenty men standing arm to arm.
I saw rivers of fire, flowing from mountain sides, defeating the trees where they stood.
I saw herds of sheep, and herds of pigs living together in harmony, and fish and squid living also in peace.
I saw sheep of other colours, and pigs of different sizes.
I saw vines clinging to every leaf on trees.
I saw ferocious wolves change into trained household dogs, and ocelots change from themselves into lazy cats, with only a bone, or a piece of fish.
I saw exploding creatures, and the dead rise, to become living once again.
I saw gravity defied, and mountains floating, and trees seemingly standing on their own, with no ground from which they grew.
I saw animals die, and trees rise.
I saw witches brewing potions, and watched them build houses using magic.
I saw mushrooms which had grown taller than trees.
I saw glowing orbs appear where dead bodies once lay, but I did not approach in fear that it was of a witch’s craft.
I saw ravines as deep as oceans lie in wait for unsuspecting bodies to fall in.
I saw squid in ponds, and common fish living in the depths of oceans.
I saw portals to other dimensions, and through the shimmering haze, I saw fortresses, and half man, half animals with blades.
Through it I saw giant ghost-like creatures spitting fire, and beasts made from fire hiss and spit.
Through it I saw stone that glowed, and sand that slowed movement.
Through it I saw dangerous and deadly things, and it was beautiful.
Yet returning home, to the small trees, and rivers of water, was a blessing in disguise
It may not seem it, but home is important, and there’s no place I’d rather be.
