" does my hair look alright, Finn? or would it look better down? I mean, I always wear it down though-""y/n" Finn chuckled. "It looks fine as it is."
ding dong.
even though the ringing of the doorbell was faint, it still made both of us jump.
"the boys are here!" Finn squealed, his eyes shining as he jumped up and down like a little girl who just saw a pony.
the doorbell rang once again. we hurried downstairs, Finn running much faster than me, so when I was finally there the door had already been opened. stood there were three boys. Jaeden, Jack and Wyatt. the three that Finn had been going on about since I got here at the start of winter break. He told me about many of their hilarious antics during the filming an adaption of the iconic horror novel, IT, written by Stephen King.
Jaeden Lieberher, the tallest, had brown straight hair that flopped to one side. his eyes were a deep green, like a forest, and there was an odd slit in his right eyebrow which was confusing me, but I decided not to ask about it. the outfit he wore was quite simple - a plain white tee shirt with navy jeans. however, over the shirt was an eye catching camouflage style coat.
next to him was Jack Dylan Grazer, the shortest out of the trio, and the youngest by the looks of it. his skin was much more tanned than the others, and a mischievous grin was smeared over his freckled face, with chocolate brown eyes. I couldn't see his hair as it was covered by a large beanie over his head.
finally, there was Wyatt Oleff. the first we made eye contact I got a tingly feeling in my stomach, like a trillion butterflies swarming rapidly. he was cute, I thought to myself, as I observed his very curly hair, the warm smile he gave me and soft hazel eyes. very cute.
"y/n, these are my friends. guys, meet y/n. she's a family friend of ours aswell as her mum and sister. they normally stay here every winter break" Finn explained to the others.
"h-hey" I said blankly, not knowing what to say next.
"hi!" Jaeden exclaimed cheerfully. he seemed really easy to talk to, I thought. he reached out his hand, indicating me to shake it. I took his hand steadily, but gently and shook it. I gave him a massive smile, trying my best to give a good first impression.
"Finn, is this your girlfriend? I- I can't believe it would end with you betraying me" Jack spoke up jokingly, pretending to fall over like a damsel in distress, and proceeded to fake cry. I could see why he was an actor now, because he was pretty brilliant at it.
Jaeden and Wyatt burst out laughing, whilst I let out a tiny giggle.
"sorry Jack" Finn replied. "besides, she's not my girlfriend, so don't worry, you're still my husband" he glanced at me, and began to fake cry with the younger boy, then picked Jack up bridal style and swung him around, which made Wyatt, Jaeden and I crack up with laughter.
after the laughing died down, there was nothing more but the occasional small giggle or snort from Jaeden, as Jack was still in Finns arms.
"I like your sweater" I heard a calm but sweet voice. Wyatt. there was no one else wearing a sweater so the comment was obviously for me. a yellow sweater, to be precise. "It suits you" he said, and gave me a grin.
"oh, thanks!" I blushed and returned a small smile. looking around, I could see a fairly large suitcase by his feet, and a small duffel bag.
"um, do you want any help with your b-bags" I stuttered.
"Sure!" he answered enthusiastically and slung the duffel bag over his shoulder.
we lugged the heavy suitcase up the stairs together, panting heavily as we went because of the tremendous weight the thing was. after we finally got upstairs, I flopped onto the bed. Wyatt did the same and lied down next to me. I could feel my cheeks getting hotter as he got closer towards me, we were almost touching.
"is this the room we're staying in?" he asked.
"yeah. it's Finns"
"where are your sisters staying?"
"the room next door. speaking of sisters, here comes one right now" I smiled as I saw my 4 year old sister Lucy peep through the door and saw us, her eyes widening in curiosity. she ran in as I got up and scooped her up whilst she started giggling loudly. Wyatt sat up to see what all the fuss was about and saw Lucy. he smiled at her and she ran in his arms for a hug.
"woah there," he chuckled and he gave Lucy a small hug.
"It's a thing she does with people" I laughed."Noodle hair!" Lucy shouted as she ruffled Wyatts curls.
we both giggled.
"well, she's not wrong" he said. I nodded in agreement.
we talked for about three hours, forgetting about the others downstairs. about anything, basically. from politics to birthdays to pineapple on pizza (no thank you).
"do you want to go downstairs to the others now?" I faced him. we were lying down next to each other again, and our faces were millimetres from touching. I could see every feature on his face from this perspective. he pondered for a moment, then came up with an answer.
"no, not really. the other are loud, I know that for a fact. it's quiet up here and I prefer it. I like it with you. just us." his cheeks were pink; it was adorable. it was crazy how I was falling for a boy I've only known for a day, but we still have the whole of winter break in front of us. this was only the beginning.(first chapter!! sorry it was so long lol, almost a thousand words. I hope you enjoy it and chapter two will be up in a couple of days!💗)
