"The higher you are, the farther you fall"- The thousandth floor Katharine McGee
London opens her eyes as she hears a familiar voice call, a younger self of her runs past her towards her mother, "Mom?" London says getting no answer.
"I got your favorite" Her mother says bending over holding a York chocolate bar, "Yay!" Her younger self says hugging her mother. London smiles at the sight of hearing the main door open and someone in a deep voice saying, "I'm home." It was her father. "Daddy!" Her younger self exclaims hugging her father whom shocks London, her mother smiles softly "How was work?" He quickly kisses her cheek "Good, Whose ready for a movie night?" He asks cheerfully "Me I am!" her young self exclaims quickly getting her light up shoes and putting them on, "Let me change out of my work clothes and we'll go." He says to her mother, she nods as he quickly goes upstairs while London runs out of the house getting her seat, her mother quickly buckles her up as she gets in the passenger seat looking at her phone. A few minutes go by and finally her father comes out getting in the car and starting it up, "So, when's you're break?" London's mother asks as her drives out of the driveway, her father gives a deep sigh, "It's cancelled." He says trying to stay calm, "What?" Her mother asks confused.
"Stocks are falling, we need more working days." He explains, her mother sits back "So, when's the next break?" She asks.
"I'm not sure..." He says stopping at a red light. Her mother closes her eyes trying to regain herself, "How many more times are we going to do this?!" Her mother says rising her voice.
"Lucy, you know how important this is for me, you have to understand." He says starting to drive again, "Take a minute to think, your family, or your job?" Lucy says raising her voice slightly more.
"Lucy I am what is keeping this family together" He says getting angry, "If you had a job you'd understand." He raises his voice as well, "That doesn't mean you can't take a break! Most days you come home at 12, we barely get to see you." She takes a deep breath, "Do you not think this is hard for me either?!" She yells as tears start to form in her eyes, "Well maybe if we didn't have a daughter we'd be fine." Vincent says not caring what he says anymore, Lucy jaw drops as a few tears slip from London's eyes as she wipes them away, "Why should I Lucy?" He asks continuing to drive.
"If you're going to act like this then me and London are going." Lucy yells starting to unbuckle. "We never even meant to have her Lucy." He yells as anger rises. Lucy slaps him "STOP THE FUCKING CAR VINCENT ROMANO!" She yells, in that moment London let out a sob, it was him... The guy who tried to kill Data and her, he Vincent Romano, leader of the Mafia- Was her father. Before she could regain her self, the car swerves out of control crashing into another car causing their car to flip London opens her eyes as tears run down her face sirens could be heard.
