"It's time to go. My stuff's on the train," I said. Father nodded and gave me a hug. Mum did as well. Since I was the youngest and the only one going to Hogwarts now, I hugged my brothers and sister goodbye as well.
I loaded Wind-rider onto my broom and took off. I was allowed to do this only because Father said so. I followed the train until I got hungry. I saw a town in the distance and I sped up.
When I landed, the first thing I saw was a little elf boy crying by the bodies of his now dead parents. The whole town was torn apart. Wind-rider hid himself behind me.
I slowly walked towards the little elf boy.
(this is Jeffery Potter.)
I reached for him. My intention was only to comfort him. But he was scared and pulled away.
"I promise I won't hurt you. I want to help. My name's Gold Potter. What's yours?" I asked.
"I'm Jeffery Huntsman," he said sniffling.
"Well from now on you can be Jeffery Potter. If you'd like to be my new little brother that is. Would you like that?" I asked.
Wind-rider had become my brother a month or so before. I hoped that this little boy, Jeffery, would like to be my brother too. I held out my hand to see if he'd take it. Jeffery grabbed my hand and smiled.
"I'd love to be your brother! Can I come with you now?!" He begged.
I nodded and placed him onto the front of my broomstick. Wind-rider decided he wanted to try and fly along side me. I let him do it since he needed the exercise.
I kicked off the ground and zoomed through the sky. Jeffery stared at the ground underneath us. He seemed to be enjoying himself as we flew towards Hogsmeade.
Soon we landed at Hogsmeade, which was the little town that the Hogwarts Express stopped at. I asked professor Mcgonagall if she'd send a letter to my family. A letter telling Father about the town I had found and about Jeffery. She agreed to send a letter.
~After arriving and being led to the Grand Hall~
"First years! It's Time to be sorted!" Professor Mcgonagall called out.
The room fell silent. Professor Mcgonagall called everyone, one by one. After a bunch of names were called I heard one last name I didn't recognized from my Father's old school photo and the name's of everyone who was in the war.
"Holden Riddle," Professor Mcgonagall called.
A scrawny boy about my hight rushed up to the stool and sat down.
The sorting hat gasped and bellowed, "Slytherin!" The boy seemed pleased and walked towards the Slytherin table. I watched the boy. He watched me back.
"Gold Potter!" Professor Mcgonagall called.
The room fell silent again. Everyone stared at me. I sighed and walked up to the stool. I sat down on the stool and waited for the hat to be lowered onto my head.
"Gryffindor!" The hat yelled.
I smiled. I looked towards the Slytherin table and saw the boy, Holden Riddle, was glare at me. I stuck my tongue out at him and walked towards the cheering Gryffindor table.
