Chapter Two: Second Thought?

I saw Christian walk in I had the biggest smile on my face. I said “Hi, my name is Jasmine welcome to Sweet land what would you like to have today?” He said “Hey, I would love to have a chocolate caramel turtle I heard it was the best.” I said “It is you would love it.” He was smiling so hard he couldn’t stop laughing, which made me start to laugh. I said “Thank you for coming to Sweetland have a nice day.” Of course he said “You too Jasmine that’s your name right?” I said “Yes it is.” He left laughing so hard I can’t wait until his job opens back up because I’m going to do the same thing. I was selling like hot cakes then it was closing time Mrs. Nelson the owner told me I was doing great and maybe one day she would promote me probably manger. I told her I couldn’t wait until she makes her decision and we both left. Today was my birthday so I guess that’s why my day went so good. I get a text from Christian telling me to go to these directions “1236 Parkers Rd” I was wondering why he would want me to go these directions. I get to the location i see balloons everywhere and I think they’re throwing me a birthday party! I enter the building and all I can see is darkness. Then by surprise the lights turn on and I hear Happy Birthday! I see my whole family I was so excited and happy to see my family. I see my mom I go to her I give her hugs and kisses. I look around to see if dad was here I turn around and he’s right behind me. I asked him he was staying here for the wedding he said yes. My dad is a police officer so I didn’t know if he was going to be able to come to the wedding. I see my sister Sarah and her husband Brandon. I looked at Christian and said “Thank you so much.” He said “I didn’t do this by myself I had some help.” He looked at Derek I was surprised I went to Derek and gave him the biggest hug. We danced, they singed happy birthday, we ate cake, and I opened my presents. My mom gave me her earrings she wore on her wedding, so I had something old, something new and something blue. I felt like everything was put back together. I had a great birthday party I asked Christian where Tiffany was he said she had to go to work. I guess Derek been telling the truth after all so it must be that Tiffany and Derek just have the same work times. It was getting dark so my family was staying a hotel except my mom and dad they were staying at my house. I wonder if Derek was just putting on a show because my parents were here. Even though it was late my mom wanted me to put my wedding dress on. Derek had to go to work, my mom called somebody she wouldn’t tell me who. I go put my dress and I hear a knock at the door. I finally got my dress on I go into the living room I see Christian and he has his tuxedo on. I ask my mom what she’s doing she just grab my arm and pull me towards Christian. She said aloud “Now this is who should be getting married next month.”
