the cloth in his mouth tasted like dirt and old laundry soap. the rope around his hands cut at his flesh beyond any rug burn. he tried to look at his feet, yet his eyes closed burning from tears. it had been three days since he has been locked up, but no knowledge of time of day it was, nor where he was.
every second felt like an eternity. never ending torture came to the poor prince, if he rejected the kidnappers questions he would be given servere punishment, resulting in a fresh new cut or broken bone. fortunately the man sent to punish him was distracted by a noise from upstairs. the boy paid his attention to the mans minions hurdling up the stairs to the noise, the noise grew louder. soon the man also went leaving the prince alone.
nothing came as the house became silent. footsteps creaked down the stairs making him anxious for what was coming. but a boy his age came into view and untied him, carrying him close up the stairs, "shh, youll be okay." he cooed to the other as he grasped onto him tightly, they left the house that once was filled with blood curtling screams.
now silenced and empty, with no soul to tell the story.
