I was sitting in my homeroom class alone behind the teachers desk, spinning in the chair when my phone rang.
"Sup?"
"...it's me."
I abruptly stopped. "No way,"I whispered "You actually got arrested!" I stated with surprise.
"How did you know?" He ask perplexed.
"Well, the sound of police talking in the background kinda gave it away."
"Oh. Well I was hoping you could bail-"
I cut him off laughing hysterically. "What's so damn funny?!?"
I replied wiping a tear from my eye. "I can't bail you out."
"Why not! You work!"
I sighed leaning forward "Yeah I know I get paid a generous amount of money and I wouldn't mind paying a couple hundred-even thousand- to bail you out."
"Yeah so-
"BUT, I have nowhere near enough money to get you out."
"Oh come on, It can't be that much!" He wined.
My gaw dropped and I stood up "Do you seriously not know how much your bail is at?!?"
"Nope."
"It's 1 million!"
"WHAT!"
"Would you stop yelling!" I hear, probably a cop, say in the background.
"Why is it so high?" He whispered harshly.
"I don't know. Oh, maybe cause you were accused of freaking MURDER!"
"Right, I forgot."
Looking at the clock my eyes widen "I gotta go, hope you enjoy your first night in prison. Remember, don't drop the soap!"
"Wait...what do you-"
I hang up grabbing my backpack from under the desk and leaving, locking the door behind me.
"What an idiot." I mutter walking down the hall and out the school towards my car.
Your probably wondering who that was and why he wants me to bail him out. Well that ladies and gentlemen that was my best friend Logan. Who just so happened to be accused of murdering our principle. I've know Logan since we were in diapers and this is not something he would ever do. Yet for some reason i'm not too sure this time.
Oh, and his bail being $1 million? That's because our principle was related to the president.
Ok that's a lie, but his brother is like some famous movie star or something and apparently they were pretty close.
The reason I don't really know if Logan is innocent or not is because he was acting really weird that day, which just so happened to be yesterday.
~ flash back~
I slam my locker shut, frustrated. I studied all freaking night for my math test an thought it was going to be a piece of cake. Next thing I know my teacher hands me the test and I find out I studied the wrong chapter. There go my hopes and dreams of actually passing a math test for once. "Ugh." I bang my head against my locker.
"Math test?"
I look to my left and see Logan smirking at me.
"Yeah," I said glumly, getting off my locker.
"Well why don't we go get ice cream in the next town over?"
That got me feeling better. "Sure!" Grabbing his arm I start dragging him out the school doors to the parking lot. Chuckling he rolled his eyes. "I swear no matter what happens to you, ice cream always makes it better."
