The next day , I got a call from Joe asking if I can meet up with him for dinner.
"Hey, Robin I know our conversation was cut short yesterday , but I was hoping if we can continue tonight at the diner." He said.
" Yeah I would like that!" I said holding back in excitement.
"See you at 8 and wear something nice."
So excited I immediately hopped out of bed and went straight for closet. I wanted to look perfect for complete stranger ,but he made me feel special. After trying several dresses on, I found the perfect one. All red tight fitting dress the hug every curve on my body with black heels.
But time I was finishing straightening my hair, it was nearly 8. I rushed all the way back to the diner.
When I opened the diner door I heard Toni saying ," Girl you looking hot and that little dress who you trying to impress."
"None of your business Toni." Smirking at her.
"Okay, but I bet it's that man from last night." Rolling her eyes.
I took a seat at one of the booths and waited for Joe to appear. It was nearly an hour before I saw the Mercedes from last night pull up to the diner. Not gonna lie ,I thought he was going to stood me up.
Joe got out wearing this nice suit and was holding a bouquet of red roses. It was kind of cheesy but sweet at the same time of him.
When we greeted each other he said, " Robin you look so beautiful, I hope you like the roses."
"Thanks , I love roses! " In a high-pitch voice. I was so embarrassed but he smiled at me.
"I would like to take you out somewhere special for dinner."
"Let me just grab my keys and purse."
"You won't need it where we going."
I gave Toni my purse and keys and began to walk out with Joe. Joe was such a gentlemen he opened the door at the diner for me and open the passenger side door.
While driving we listen to Jazz and was having great conversations about what we like and when we dislike. He told me that he was a doctor and was born and raised in New Orleans.
I wish I knew about his many dark secrets , but I had to find out the hard way....
