Amethyst had gotten in trouble for hitting the cow on accident. But the teacher would not believe her, for how could an Elf miss by that much with a bow?

However halfway through the school year they had realized that she actually couldn't shoot a bow. Her parents where surprised, but mostly worried... that is, for her little sister Emerald.

They did not want Emerald to end up like her older sister Amethyst. Emerald was only two years younger than Amethyst, but she definitely looked up to her.

Emerald even as a small child had admired Amethyst for being different. Part of that might have been because Emerald was a bit different too.

Amethyst and Emerald's parents decided to pick a theme for their two little girls, after seeing the last one born. They had already given Amethyst her name, because of her eyes, and so they couldn't help but give Emerald her name when they saw that her eyes where also like a jems.

Emerald had many similarities with her older sister, such as their bright blonde hair, pointed ears, they both had something that set them apart from the other elves, even their parents. They both where loving, kind, funny, crazy (but not in a bad way), and They both loved to have fun!

However they did have their differences. Emerald had more of a pointed nose, Amethyst had amethyst eyes wile Emerald had emerald eyes, they where both tiny girls but in different ways, Amethyst was a normal height for her age and she was slim, Emerald on the other hand was short and slim.

It must have been a family thing because there older brother Hunter was also. very. slim. Hunter worked for their father, who was a high ranked General, so he wasn't around a whole lot.

But when Amethyst had turned six and Emerald turned four, more than just their traits became different.

It was now Emerald's first day of school, and she was more than nervous. It was true she wanted to be like Amethyst in almost every way, but being picked on wasn't one of them.

Emerald actually wanted to be good at archery, unlike Amethyst who recently started to grow less and less concerned with the fact that she was bad at archery.

Which brings us back to the beginning of this sad but true story.

Amethyst walked farther away from Aaron  who was hurt, he was still rubbing  the back of his head.

Amethyst looked ahead wondering how her little sister's first day went. "Hopefully better than mine did." She mumbled.

Then out of nowhere, Amethyst saw a streak of red in the corner  of her eye! A sudden pain struck her face, and Amethyst fell backwards from the force of whatever hit her.

She hit the grassy hill hard, first her hip and than her head followed with more momentum. Amethyst felt very  disy and pain throbed on both sides of her head.

She felt warm liquid running down the side of her face, that was hit by the red object.

She startlingly stood up and rubbed the side of her face that felt warm, and sure enough... it was blood.

She quickly looked to th right of her. There stood three boys, the one on the left had dark red hair, dark Green eyes, and a few nasty scabs on his face. The one on the right had light brown hair, dark green eyes, and was covered in mud with a crooked smile plastered on his face.

And finally  the one smack down in the middle. He was tall, freakishly tall for a six year old. He had dark brown hair and the same dark green eyes as all the other elves, his face was a perfect oval and his nose was way to long!

"Well, we'll, well. If it isn't Miss. miss alot." The boy in the middle said who Amethyst  apparently  knew.

"What do you want, Jack!?" Amethyst asked the middle boy.

"Aww, did I make the little blondie  mad?" He said, like he was talking to a puppy. The two boys to his side snickered.

"Your getting on my last nerves! Let me go home!" Amythst  yelled as loud as her six year old voice would allow.

"You should lurn to keep your mouth shut!" Jack said with a nasty grin " your voice just reminds me of a dieing cat, so just keep it shu-" Jack was interrupted by Amythst driving her small six year old fist Into Jacks jaw.

Jack fell on his back knocking the wind out of him.

Amethyst ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. She ran down the cobblestone rode, heading tordes one of the most interesting and safest place in the village... at least for her.
