Charlie Kelly walked into his apartment that he was currently sharing with his best friend and possible dad, Frank Reynolds. He took off his green army jacket and hung it up in his mess of a closet, then proceeded to weave around the piles of clothes and trash to the fridge where he pulled out a beer. Right when he slumped down onto the couch with the cold beer in hand, Frank stomped in grumbling about something along the lines of a backstabbing broad.
"Gahd, can you believe that bitch?" Frank yelled, exasperated as he reenacted Charlie's journey to the fridge to receive a beer in the same fashion.
Frank continued to drone on about some whore that betrayed him, but his complaints fell on deaf ears as Charlie stared blankly at the wall.
"Chawley, are you listenin to me? Im tryin to vent about this dumb whoore" Frank demanded.
"Yea man it's like he doesn't even listen to us or whatever..." Charlie uttered, trying and failing to appear as if he was paying any attention. Charlie slowly reached down between the couch cushions despite Frank's protests and grabbed on to his life line; cat food. It was Fancy Feast Smoked Salmon flavor with extra gravy: Charlie's favorite. The small can would soon take Charlie into a deep sleep where he didn't have to think about all the glue he huffed earlier that day or the mean things the waitress had said to him (but not meant).
"Chawley I swear to gahd if you eat that cat food and pass out I'm goin out to a titty bar without you and I ain't lockin the door." Frank warned, but Charlie had already peeled back the lid and taken his first bites. His last memory before falling into a deep sleep was Franks small, misshapen body stomping out the door to the apartment.
