Swoosh~ The winter breeze blew coldly as Adrian walked down the hallway of his middle school. He was having an internal argument with himself about whether he should ask out this girl. This special girl that he always thought about and admired was named Zoey Aradillos. He thought she was cute af the way she reacts as he teases her and that she was as beautiful as a princess. As cheesy as that was, she was super short compared to him and thought that his antics were retarded. Although she thought he was a complete idiot, at least he could be her idiot. Little does he know, Zoey likes him back, but doesn't want to admit it. As he continued to walk towards the lunch tables where everyone was, he heard an incoherent screech coming from the 4'9" little demon that he liked (..or loved) and it looks like she was being harassed by his best friend, Jared.
"You actual hoe!" he heard the pipsqueak yell as she tried throwing punches at Jared. To stop her from unleashing her full wrath, Adrian snuck up from behind Zoey, and wrapped his arm around her.
"Wtf get off me you gay potato," she exclaimed as she felt the weight of Adrian's arm around her neck.
"Only gay for you, shortie," Adrian winked at her and high-fived himself internally as he was able to make her blush for god knows how many times.
"So what's up short-stack?" he asked Zoey as they sat next to each other.
"Nothing much tbh, just chilly from the breeze," she replied unwillingly. "...I guess I got a bit warmer thanks to you, you hoe."
A bit shocked from the response he got out of her, Adrian smirked and said, "Oh really? Did I make you all waaaaarm and fuuuzzy on the insiiiiide?"
"Whatever.." She squinted at him and got up to join up with Abigail and her friends since class was about to start.
"WAIT! MEET ME AT THE FIELD AFTER SCHOOL. I NEED TO ASK YOU SOMETHING!" Adrian quickly yelled at the short girl he admired and she held a thumbs up meaning "Okay" in response.
~Time Skip~
Adrian was sitting in class, desperately waiting for the bell to ring. He glanced at the clock once...twice...almost 4 times, thinking time would go faster. It was only a few minutes anyways before school ended.
'C'mon. You can do this Adrian. All you have to do is ask her.' He thought to himself. As he looked up from staring at his desk for so long since he was so deep in his thoughts, he saw that almost everyone has already left since he didn't hear the bell ring. He quickly packed his backpack and dashed to the large field to their supposed meeting place. He was welcomed with the sight of Zoey, beautifully standing in the field. The wind going by her almost perfectly like how it does in those cheesy chick flicks. Adrian walked up to her and greeted her.
"So what was it you wanted to ask me?" She questioned.
"Well..." Adrian couldn't get the words out of his mouth. "I wanted to ask you if you would like to go on a movie date with me and I kinda like you more than a friend so..."
Zoey felt a blush creeping on her face and she looked away to try and hide it. She turned back toward Adrian who was eagerly waiting for a response from her.
"U-u-uh.." Words also couldn't come out of her mouth.
"I-It's fine you don't have respond right away. I'll see you on Monday, alright?" He looked at Zoey for a bit and went to walk away to the gate.
Seeing the hint of sadness in his eyes, she cursed at herself and somehow had the self-confidence she never had before at the moment to say what she said next.
"WAIT!" She grabbed his arm to stop him. He turned back to her, confused.
"I would love to go on that movie date with you...as long as I get to choose what movie." She smirked and quietly added, "I, too, have a crush on you nibba but we're still young to d8 so we are going to go as friends for now alright."
Adrian's eyes lit up and he gave her a cute smile that almost killed her of cuteness.
"I'll see you tomorrow then at 6:00 PM and you better tell me what movie beforehand." he chuckled at her.
"Mmmm naaaaaah" She retorted.
They both laughed and walked to the gate together.
