I hesitated, staring into Micah's eyes for any sign of hatred. The last thing I needed was for him to beat the shit out of me in the hallway, or at least attempt to. The only thing I saw, though, was concern.

I nodded, and we stepped out into the hallway.

Leaning against the wall, my arms folded over my chest, I stared at my beat up boots as Micah went on.

"Okay so, here's the deal, Louis feels horrible about what happened. And, yeah, so do I. But we know you do, too. And we never heard you out." His hand roams to the back of his neck, and he rubs it nervously.

"Look, I was drunk off my ass, and so was Louis. My judgement was impaired and I just... I don't know what I did, mate."

"That's just it! We were all so drunk there's no way any of us made the right decisions." Micah got excited, his face practically lighting up like a Christmas tree. "Louis and I both agreed we can forget all of this, even though we don't really remember it anyway, if you will as well."

Micah looks at the door, and silence filled the air around us, the muffled sounds of cheering for a newly engaged couple being the only noise this early in the morning.

"Most of them don't know. And they don't have to."

"Niall knows."

"And what's that to him?" Micah asks, shaking his head. "Can everything just... go back to normal? Or at least to how they were?"

I ruminate over his offer, but finally, I nod, thankful to be rid of this burden that almost cost me my life.

Micah inches forward, his lips grazing mine before I push him away gently, closing my eyes and shaking my head. Why would he even?

"I can't do this with you though. I'm just not ready for anything right now," I whisper softly, knowing fully well I was probably breaking Micah's heart all over again. "I'm sorry."

"No, no. It's okay. I, uh, should have known." He gives me a weak smile, entering into the flat again. I follow behind, the cool air hitting my body, and the first thing I noticed was Louis.

Silent tears were streaming down his face. His blue eyes full and red, like he'd been doing it for a while. They were set on me, full of hurt and disgust. He merely shook his head, disappearing down the hall.

"What's wrong with Louis?" Paige asked, stopping her celebration for just a moment as she noticed her friend storm out the room. She glances back between me and the empty space where Louis once stood, suspicious.

"It's nothing," I told her, wanting to spare her of the ludicrous details.

"Niall," she says, turning to the one person she knew would hide nothing from her. His gaze caught with mine, and I shook my head.

"He's just really happy for us, darling. Don't worry about it," he told her reassuringly.

Paige cocks and eyebrow, not buying it.

"Was that the yelling I heard this morning? What is going on?"

Charlie, Seren, and Lily had all gone quiet at that point; listening intently but not daring to speak.

"Paige, don't worry about it," Micah said, shaking his head as if asking her to drop the topic.

"I am a pregnant woman who had to get up at three in the morning, don't you dare think I won't slap all of you," she warned menacingly, glaring at each of us, especially Niall, who merely gulped and tightened his hold around her waist.
