Amidst the enthusiastic chatter of the crowd , a bright spotlight shines down upon me .

i'm locked inside a gigantic birdcage that's set right in the center of a stage .

The masked audience stares at me.

" And now for the last item up for bid, our grand finale! A young healthy women " the auctioneer said.

" keep her as a slave, keep her as a toy. Do whatever you please with her... it's truly up to you! And now lets start bidding. I have $500.000 from $1 milion from #30" He said again

"$1.2 million from #24 !" He said

MARIE POV.

One by one , the masked bidders hold up their creds in the circular arena.

I can't belive it , but i've been put up for auction.

it's hard to belive it it was just a normal day at work until a little while ago .

how in the world did this happen ?

" Good morning ! " i said

I swing open the door to the locker room like i always do.

I work as a maid at a hotel owned by the ichoinomiya group  , which is a large company that owns banks and trading companies  in new jersey and has many affliate companies overseas .

"Morning, marie ! " elle said

" The vip convention starts today ! Am so pumped ! " she said

Elle greets me with a smile .

We're the same age and really close . I can confide in her about anything.

" i bet you'll be busy since you work on the casino floor " i said

" since i'm in charge of the regular guest rooms , i doubt will be any different for me. " i said .

i work at hotel tres spades , new jeresy's first legal casino and hotel , which was built five years ago when casinos were legalized in new jeresy.

" i wish i could work at the I.V.C , too " i said

" thats the goal of everyone who works here " elle said.

"I've been dreaming about it since i saw the party on TV " i said

" movie stars , top athletes..." elle said

" super famous people from all over the world come to this party ! , i applied here not thinking i'd get hired , so i thought i was dreaming when i did !" elle said

" me too " i said.

" oh my god , what if some rich , famous guy falls in love with me at first sight?! " elle said

"Haha. Keep dreaming " i said

Our vip guests are important , but i have to work hard for our regular guests too. " i said on my mind .

Tres spades' largest event is approaching , attracting tons of international publicty.

Its busier and even more tense around here then usual .

We leave the locker room and head to the hotel lobby , where a crowd of reporters and onlookers have gathered.

People i've only ever seen on TV start appearing one after the other.

" oh my god , marie ! Look who just got out of that limo ! " elle said

"That guy is always on the VIP lists . They call him the king ! " elle said

"What ? Where, where? " i said

Even though i hate getting caught up in celebrity gossip , i can't help but join elle to try to get a glimpse .

I see a tall man walking along , surrounded by women on both sides .

All women around him are famous...

" he's living in the penthouse suite for a while now ." Elle said

" what?! It costs tens of thousands of dollers to stay just for one night! " i said

Wow i wonder what he does for a living?..

He pays no attention to the huge crowd and just walks staright ahead.

I can't take my eyes off of him.
