Louis stared openly at the man in front of him. The dark blue eyes rimmed with eye bags, his eyes looking bloodshot as well. The man had brown hair that looked tousled, the way you would when running your fingers through your hair in frustration.
"Son", he started, walking towards Louis. The younger man flinched; no one had called him that in a long while.
Not since he was 8, at least. And now that he was almost 18 years old, and here, some random man, calling him "son".
"Uh", Louis said, "I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me son. I'm not your son-". He was cut off by the man embracing him in a hug. "Yes, yes you are my son. You're Louis Tomlinson, originally Louis Rivers, right?"
Whilst pushing the man off, Louis looked at him in astonish. How did this man know him? How did he know his past? As far as he knew, his dad died.
"Um, yes, I am Louis Tomlinson. But, sorry sir, my dad died when I was 9." The man looked at him with sorry eyes, "no he didn't."
Now, Louis was shocked. How could this man tell him his dad wasn't dead? His mother had held a funeral and everything. "Your mother thought it was best to say I'd died. I'm sorry I couldn't have been there for you, I had to leave you before I got worse."
It all clicked then. Louis' dad had a past of drug and alcohol abuse, leading to him beating Louis at night, whenever he came home drunk.
The moment his dad came out of rehab, he had "died" from heart stroke, due to his drug abuse. Louis mourned for a while, before picking himself up.
Louis looked at the man, and slapped him straight across the face. "How dare you come back into my life like this", he said, his voice wavering. Then he completely broke down, sobbing into his father's shoulder. "I missed you, Dad', he said, the words feeling weird out of his mouth.
"I know son, I know."
And they remained there, for a while, together at last.

"No you don't understand", Liam cried, "I love him! And I will love him until my last dying breath!". He had decided to visit his parents, and tell them about Louis.
It was the first time in years that Liam had bothered even visiting his parents. But since Louis patched things with his parents, Liam decided that it was time to reconstruct his relationship with his parents.
"We will not accept a gay son! You are our son, I thought we raised you better than this!", his mother exclaimed, fury rushing through her eyes, and sadness in her body form.
It was beyond obvious that she was disappointed with what he'd become.
Liam rushed out the door to the house, the house that he thought he had known. But obviously, he had not known it well enough.
"Liam wait!", his mother called out, but to no avail, he had already headed towards the next street over. Tears flushed through his eyes, blurring his vision.
It was in that moment, when everything stopped. Liam's life, flashed before his eyes, and the next thing he knew, there were people surrounding him, calling his name out. His head fell to the right side of his body, and all he saw, was
Red.
Cold, hard, red blood.
And that's not all. The blood, was his own, making its way out of his right arm, and right leg. 'This is it', he thought. 'I'm done for.'
