Chapter 1
Maddie's POV
I wasn't really completely sure that Mikayla Dorstone was completely gone. I woke up with a nervous feeling in my stomach but I suddenly remembered. Mikayla was out!
I leapt out of bed. it was Sunday and that means dance time at ALDC!!!
When I get to the dance studio, I rush to the dance studio when we arrive in the parking lot and run to the den, tossing my sweater off. Chloe and Kendall are there already.
"Hey!" I beam and smile at her.
They nod at me, but then go back to talking. I raise my eyebrows. I get it. Now that Mikayla is out, I'm the favorite again and they don't really like me anymore.
I pull my hair back into a tight bun and wait for the other girls to arrive.
Brooke, Paige and Nia walk in followed by Kenzie who was held back because she accidently left her dance clothes at home.
Later, Abby walks in and claps her hands.
"Come on, into the studio girls." she announces.
The moms follow behind us.
"Let's get started on the pyramid today." Abby says and uncovers Kenzie's face at the bottom of the pyramid. "Kenzie, you didn't dance in the group, so, oh well. Next-"
Kendall.....then Brooke, Chloe, Nia, Paige(whoa, what a surprise. Paige doesn't get on the top that much) and...me.
I can feel teh other girls' jealous stares but I ignore it. I'm the best and I can't help it.
"Okay, this week, we are going to Las Vegas. Tomorrow morning, we head off on the plane to Vegas. I told you this last week. You guys are all packed, I suppose? We'll practice for one day today, and have four days in Vegas to prepare. The group dance is called, "Evil". It's a dark piece about wickedness deep inside the heart. No solos this week." Abby says. "Alright, moms out, girls, spread apart."
I went next to Paige to perform.
"Okay, so for the dance, "Evil" There is one Evil Witch and the rest of you will be angels." Abby says. "I have assigned Chloe the part of the Witch."
I see Chloe's face crumple in sadness. Abby didn't really like Chloe. Of course she'd make her the witch..
But I didn't expect Chloe to lash out at me...
