The school is huge. We pull up to the "school" and it looks gigantic. The building itself has a very old style to it even though it's a school for the gifted. "Welcome to your new home!" Storm said with a joyful voice that sounded like she was genuinely happy that I was here. No one ever liked me. I was to smart for a sixth grader, so the school system put me into high school. I never fit in even when I had my growth spurt. I finally felt at home.

My dorm room is very nice; two desks, two beds, and two storage chests. Half of the room was already occupied. I was admiring the view of the city when my room mate came in. What's is this kid doing in my room? he thought as I swung around to meet his gaze. "Are you the new kid?" He asked, I felt his mind relax a little bit as I out stretched my hand.
"Yeah, my name's Sorcerer."
He shook my hand, " I'm Iceman, my friends call me Bobby. What's your power?" Without hesitation, everything in the room floated off of the ground. "Ah, telekinesis. Well, Professor Storm told me to bring you to her lab to evaluate your abilities." Bobby guides me out into the hall and into an elevator with a big "X" on it.

I was laying on top of a lab table with weird plastic discs connected to my head. With my mind, I saw that Wolverine, Bobby, the blue man, and Storm were in the room. "Okay Sam, I'm going to turn on the machine that will monitor your brain activity that involves your gift." I heard a small buzzing, signaling the machine being turned on, and a gasp from about everyone in the room. "It appears that your an Omega-level mutant!" This time I knew the force field was around me, and suddenly, I had a serious headache. It became so bad that I screamed in pain, causing everyone to run towards me. Child, let me into your head. The voice was female.
Suddenly, I wasn't in the lab anymore, I was floating in space. A beautiful flaming bird stretched its wings out in front of me. Hello child, I'm the New Phoenix a cosmic entity. She spoke to me through telepathy even though she floated right in front of me. "What do you want with me!?" I screamed at it, I could feel shaking as if my words echoed off of cavern walls. I want you to be my host body. You have so much power, you and I would be unstoppable just like Jean Grey and my mother. "No!!! I won't let you come into my mind!!!! Leave me alone!!!" With an angry squawk, the New Phoenix flew away, leaving me to float in space alone. The shaking got more violent as space faded away.
"Wake up!!!" I was so startled that my telekinesis pushed everyone away from me. Wolverine however, had his claws stuck in the lab table so that he wouldn't be pushed back. "What happened?!" Wolverine screamed in a less than calm tone.
"Phoenix! Jean! Power!" I screeched as I became weak with exhaustion. Wolverine retracted his claws and stormed out of the room as everything faded to black.
