My mother helps me carry my luggage to the car and we drive to Hyland's. I start recapping the basics of elements, just in case there's a test. Everyone in this world has an element, but if you don't use it by the time you're three, (it's not that early to be training, actually) your power is gone. This happens to most people, simply because they don't know the power is there. Once your power is gone, you're a mortal human. Us with powers are slightly immortal, living until someone with another element kills you.

We arrive at the university, and my mom makes herself welcome in my dorm. When she is done helping me carry my luggage in my room, I shoo her away. When she's finally gone I unpack. My dorm is huge. There are three master bedrooms that have a full sized bed and room to fit comfortably with two more. Within the bedrooms, there is a bathroom, so everyone has a personal bathroom. Of to the side of the dorm, there is a slightly smaller bedroom with a twin bed, which also has it's own bathroom. That must be the guest room. When my room is completely decked out with my stuff, I lay down. I was about to take a nap, when to arguing girls come through the doors.

"- all I'm saying earth has so much better uses than air," a girl says. "What are you talking about? Air can do what earth does and more," the other one says. I can't believe I got earth and air roomies, who naturally hate each other. I walk in the living room, " Hey girls. I'm Reece, a water. If you would please stop arguing and look around, you would see that this place is larger than an average apartment. Look around." After my speech, they did exactly what I had said. When done observing, one of the girls talks to me, "Hi, Reece. I'm Dylan Isles, an earth. So your a water, huh? I've never met one before. We should show each other our talents sometime." I smile and shake her hand. The other girl turns towards me, "Hi I'm Luna Corson, an air. Nobody has to share a room, right? I couldn't stand sharing a room with earthy over here. Earth's like to think that they're better than air, but I beg to differ. I guess it's the natural hate thing." I give a puzzled look spas I shake her hand. I then confirm no one has to share a room. Several hours pass, and the girls are done unpacking, stopped arguing, and are laying on the couch watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, saying how offensive it is to us. I went grocery shopping when the girls were unpacking, so now the cupboards are full.

There's a knock on our door, so I walk over to answer it. Mr. Halk is standing there, a girl standing next to him. "Hello, Reece, this is Chelsea, another water," Chelsea waves and Mr. Hall continues talking, "She got accepted into the University last night. She'll be using the guest room in your dorm. I thought she'd fit in well here." Chelsea walks in and Mr. Halk leaves. The door closes. Chelsea looks a lot different from us, her having very long brown hair with unnaturally blonde streaked hair, Dylan having short black hair, me having a little shorter blonde air (I got a haircut), and Luna having long dark brown hair. I beckon Luna and Dylan towards me, explaining who Chelsea is and where she's staying. They smile, introduce themselves, and invite her to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender with them. She politely refuses, having to unpack her bags.

Soon Chelsea is unpacked and watching the show with Luna, Dylan, and I. She, too, agrees that the show is insulting. At about 11:00 we head off to bed. We all want to get sleep before classes tomorrow.
