My feet tapped the sidewalk lightly. The wind blew my hood off of my head.

Rain started to pour and the wind picked up.

Sirens in the distant grew closer and closer.

A cop car stopped next to me.

"Young lady, you need to get home now. A dangerous, armed prisoner escaped."

I nodded my head, smiled, let the car pull away, and ran.

I ran until I heard footsteps behind me, coming closer and closer.

I tried to run but my feet wouldn't let me.

I heard hard, raspy breathing.

Before I could move, I started coughing up blood.
