Hello and welcome to my story. This is my first story I've ever seriously written that wasn't for school. I hope you enjoy!
"There can only be one alpha of the pack! Either submit, or fight me!"
"No! I wont! It's you!"
Well that's too bad Beck, I really hoped you'd submit. Very well, Ill just beat you DOWN!" And with that, he ran after Beck, chasing him further and further away from home, never ceasing, until finally, the strain being too great both in mind and body, Beck stopped and faced him.
"I don't want this for us! Why does it have to be this way?" Beck just couldn't wrap his head around it.
"Well it has to be this way, doesn't it? We cant both be the best. One of us must be the top dog. And I know it should be me. Only I have the ambition and vision! You want nothing but peace and justice. Those are morals of the weak! Shifters of our rank must use our power and RULE!" And with that last shout, he launched himself at Beck, his form changing with every passing moment. Beck started shifting, but it soon became apparent that he was too late.
Beck was slammed into a nearby tree, causing leaves and acorns to fall, and the bark to splinter off. Now, He was almost completely shifted, more of a giant red wolf than anything else. Beck wasn't far behind, his control over his shift being greater. However, before he was far gone, a searing pain passed through him, resonating from his chest. Looking down, blood could be seen flowing out of a gash. But then it was covered up by grey fur, his wolf finally taking form.
Beck heaved and bit, all the while taking an onslaught to his body, but now that he had shifted, it didn't make much of a difference. To any onlooker, it would appear to be two giant wolves in a tangle of limbs and teeth, tufts of hair flying, and the dirt below becoming muddied by blood.
"Stop this madness! We shouldn't be fighting!" Holding onto his rational mind, Beck pleaded, but to no avail. Too far gone was the man he knew, now in his place was an animal who listened only to power. "Alright, if you want a fight, Ill have to give you one!" Beck shoved with all his might, being fueled with anger, and threw him into a tree, cracking it, and knocking him out cold.
Beck ran over, shifting back to normal, to check on the now bloodied mess of a man. "Are you still with me? Please, move!" Beck tried to find His pulse, only succeeding in feeling a bloodied neck. No, why did you push- wait, a pulse. Beck sighed with relief, but then all that he had done came back to him. He couldn't continue like this. He had to get away. He had to leave his-
"AAAH!" I flew up, a sweaty mess sitting in bed. I looked outside and there wasn't even a hint of light out. "I hate that nightmare... Might as well start my day, now that I'm awake. And I was really hoping to sleep in, too."
