Gendry POV
As the sunrise approached everyone hurried to get ready for the battle. We had all been working all night long making every preparation possible to ensure we win. Just yesterday Arya had given me the blueprints of a weapon she wants me to build for her. The whole reunion was awkward to say the least. The words on my mind got lost on their way to my mouth, and all I could mumble was a "You look good." Not at all what I would have wanted. I could have asked her how she had been, or ask her how she made it back to Winterfell. But never mind that, now I am on my way to find her, she hasn't come to the forge to check on the progress of her new weapon, and since on our first encounter I couldn't really think of anything she was showing me, but rather on the day I last saw her, and how much she's grown since then, I'm seeking for her to make some clarifications on the design of the weapon. I've asked everywhere if they've seen her, some say she must be lurking somewhere, others just smile and wish me luck finding her. It wasn't until an old lady told me the most obvious thing, try to find her in her room. Well, I guess since it's Arya I'm looking for it is not the most predictable place to find her, since she seems to avoid staying steady for too long, but I lose nothing by checking out if she's there.

Arya POV
I was about to get on my way once more, when I thought to myself that maybe my bag of faces would come in handy for the battle. I was about to check on it when someone knocked at my door. When I opened Gendry was standing there. A smile almost escaped my lips, but I soon learned what he was up to. He had the blueprints I gave him yesterday on his left hand.
- "Something Wrong?" I asked abruptly, not wanting to give away my excitement for seeing him.
- "I just wanted to ask some questions before I start working on it." He answered, sounding almost as if he was disappointed in something.
- "Please come on in." He game me a reluctant look, to which I slightly smiled to assure him it was alright.
He laid open the blueprints on the table next to the door.
- "Well I wasn't so sure about this part right here." He said as he pointed to the part where the spear separated into two pieces.
- "What's wrong with it?"
- "Nothing, just wanted to make sure I understood this right. You want it to come out and become another weapon, is that right?"
- "Indeed." I saw a little hint of concern in his face.
- "Why would you need a weapon like this?"
- "You asked that yesterday."
- "And yet you did not respond."
I sighed, and answered what to me seemed obvious.
- "We don't know when the battle will start, we must be prepared, and a spear is quite useful in a battle. Days are shorter in the winter, and we might be battling day and night. Having multiple weapons might be a good idea."
- "We?" He mumbled. " You're not thinking of going into battle!"
- "My brother will need all the help he can get, and I am not exemption."
He looked confused, I wondered what was on his mind.

Gendry POV
As she said the last words I couldn't believe myself. I always knew she had the spirit of a warrior, but never imagined she would actually go into battle.
- "Not an exemption, but you are the future of your house. There's only a handful of Starks left, and you're planning on wasting your life on the battlefield. What about when the war is over, who will be the Stark in Winterfell? You can't always count we will all survive the long night."

Arya POV

- "I haven't really given it much thought to what will happen after the war. But the only thing I know is that to defeat the dead, the living must come together." I saw how he started to resign on trying to convince me not to battle amongst the others.
- "Yes, as you command Lady Stark."
- "I've already told you not to call me that." He looked at me, and I could almost see a sad smile on his face. "What about you? What would you do when this is all over?" I think I caught him by surprise there.
- "Me? Well I'm not sure. Go back to King's Landing maybe. Even after the war is over there will always be work for a smith, specially in the capitol."
- "Why not stay here?"
- "I don't belong here."
- "You don't belong there either." He couldn't answer that one. "You once told me you never had a family, if you stay, the north can be your family."
- "And what would you be?" Just as he finished asking I saw on his face he instantly regretted his words.
- "I'll be your lady." His blue eyes were now wide open, and as I realized what I had said, I also realized that for once I actually felt comfortable with someone besides Jon.

I didn't want him to leave. Specially not to King's Landing where his fate would always be uncertain. I saw how his muscles tensed under his clothes, the same muscles I had many times admired as he hammered hot metal with extreme passion. As the thought of his muscles passed through my mind, I think I might have even blushed a little. Yes I definitely blushed, his look confirmed it as he watched my cheeks, and then my lips. What was on his mind? I think he was doubting what I had said, but those words had already left my mouth, and there was no coming back from that. And just like that, the thought of our lips dancing together hit me. What would it feel like to kiss him? Is that what I wanted? Well it definitely was, I had wanted it since a long time ago, but maybe I wasn't old enough to realize it. But what about what he said? What if one of us doesn't make it out of the war?
"Arya?" He said, almost doubting himself.

And then it hit me, this might be the only chance we get. I leaned over him and my lips reached his. He was obviously surprised, but that didn't stop him from kissing me back. He was already leaning a little over the table, that helped a lot, although I surely was taller now, there was still a big difference in our heights. It was quick, and I didn't catch the moment where he had pulled me closer and was holding my face with both his hands. I liked it, his hands weren't soft at all, on the contrary, he had the hands of a smith. But who said I wanted hands as soft as silk? It wasn't too long until I was leaning on my back, he on top of me. What had started as a soft and gentle kiss had quickly escalated into a passionate one. He was about to start to undress me when he broke our kiss to look me in the eyes, asking for permission. All I could do was give him a little smile. He knew what that meant. We proceeded to what could have probably been my best time alive yet. And from the look in his eyes, I think he felt the same way.

And like that, we had our first time together, and maybe our last. The future was uncertain, and who knew if either of us would make it out of this war alive. All we had certain was the present, and I planned to make the most out of it. All I could do for now was being his lady.
