Justin's family had been in town for almost a year now. Justin was finally on summer break, which meant he could actually go out and explore a bit. High school kept him busy otherwise. He got dressed and headed outside, walking into the forest that was behind his house. He walked around, looking around at all the things around him. He knew the forest contained coyotes. He could hear them at night. He figured it might also contain foxes. Sometimes he would hear a stray dog. He thought quietly to himself as he was walking.

This would at first glance be a good area to hunt. It had everything deer, turkey, and rabbits needed. For some reason though, he never saw much of any of those animals around. Perhaps the city was just too busy. He stepped on various twigs and sticks and wasn't seeing much interesting stuff. Tree. Tree. Tree. Twig. Tree. Every once in awhile a bush of flowers.

After an hour of exploring, and right as he was about to give up, he saw a big blob of something and wanted to see what it was. Upon closer inspection he could see it was a house. It didn't look too run down or old, but it had obviously been there for awhile. He was curious as to who would possibly be living way out here. He slowly and tentatively walked up to the house and knocked on the door. There was no answer. He tried to open the door but it was locked. Go figure. He tried to look through a window but couldn't see much. He sighed. It was probably abandoned, and he wanted to explore. But he knew he should be getting home soon and wouldn't have the time too. He made a small note of where he was, and made marks all the way back home. He would explore that house when he had more time, he was sure of it.
