"Hi ashton" I found myself, noticing the small things about him. Things that I didn't notice two hours prior.

"What do you want?" He asked, rolling his brown eyes. I didn't know why he was so...short.

"Like to eat?" I wondered, because I didn't do anything to him.

"Yes. What do you want to eat" He asked, sighing.

I told him and he walked off. Leaving me there. I got on my phone, and did absolutely nothing until my food came.

To say I was happy about my pancakes arriving, would be an understatement.

I paid and left him a pretty big tip. I got up and left, making my way back to my quiet apartment.

"Courtney?!" I heard him yell. I turned around to see the tall boy running towards me in his IHOP apron.

"yes?" Did I leave something? I checked my pockets.

He held up the receipt.

"What's this?" He pointed to my tip.

"That, is a thank you" after this morning, and his waiter skills I would have never thought that I'd see him smile.

"For what?" He played dumb.

"For walking me home"
