This is a theory about Zane's ice powers.
So in episode 74, we saw that the elemental master of ice was older than the others. So, what if he had no children? But, he wanted his element to live on, so he used his powers on a piece of chronosteel (the stuff that was used to create the timeblades) and hid it somewhere, so that someone could find it. And use it, idk something. Then, Dr. Julien found it and used it as Zane's heart/power source when he built Zane.
