Hina's POV.
It was 7 pm and the darkness was spreading all over the sky. I was busy with my assignment then I had to print it out before submitting. And in all these stuff, I didn't realized that it was getting night. I thought to text Eeman as she might be getting worried about me. I took out my cell phone and texted her when my gaze went to the bench in front of me.. Someone was sitting on it and when I focused, it was Maryam.. There were flower bed behind her and sitting on that bench, she herself was looking like a flower but a sad one lost in her thoughts. I put my cell phone in my bag and walked to her
"Maryam? "Reaching near, I called her. She came out of her thoughts and looked up at me
" oh hey Hina " she smiled looking at me. I sat next to her.
"Hi. Yahan aise itna udaas kyoun bethi ho?"
"Udaas ? Nai toh. Aisi hi bethi thi"
"If there's anything, you can share with me" I put my hand on her shoulder
"There's nothing much. I was just ..... Missing my Mom..." She said the last part in a low voice.
"Oh .. I can understand.....being far away from your family isn't so easy. Maybe you should call her.. That will make you feel better" I said to her. she smiled and looked forward.
"She's at a place where I can't call" her voice became heavy and a tear slipped down from her left eye. Ya Allah
"Ohh ..I'm so sorry" only those words came out from my mouth. She wiped that tear and looked at me.
"What are you doing in the campus that late?" She changed the topic as well as her tone. Maybe this is better
"I was here for assignment submission. And it took HOURS"
"That's why I don't like bothering myself to even make one" she added and giggled .
"May Allah give me that strength too" I said and we both laughed.
"Okay I gotta go. See you later." I got up saying.
"See you later.. Bye"
"Bye" bidding bye I walked away. Who thought that two lively cute fighting sisters had something terrible in their lives? I couldn't even think about something related to that.
Engulfed in my thoughts, I went out of the campus and made my way towards the dorms when I heard footsteps behind. I turned around to see no one. There were few students but nobody was behind me. I shrugged and turned back when....
"Aaa" someone was standing right in front of me that scared the hell out of me and made me to scream. My books fell down from my hands and I hurriedly looked up to see Ahmar standing there with wide eyes.
"Did i scare you?" He asked the most lamest thing and I looked at him in surprise. He did that purposely.
"Scare? Ahmar are you crazy? You literally dragged away my soul from me" I said in anger and bent down to collect my books. My heart was still beating fast. he murmured something that i couldn't hear and I looked up
"What did you say?"
"Nothing. I'm sorry. Here get up. " he replied and extended his hand towards me.
"Thank you" I got up by myself and thanked him for his so called help.
"Oh come on. I didn't know that u'll be scared."
