Half Dragons

Chapter 1 (what am i)

I never knew who was my mother, she died giving birth to me. I live with my father, he is one of the king's servants, his job is to send messages from one place to another. My name is Christina but only the people who are close to me can call me Tina, i am 10 years old.

I was on my bed sleeping, probably having the same dream i had last night, and the day before. This dream have been haunting me for months now, the dream is about me growing scales all over my body. I didn't tell anyone about my dream situation, not even dad. In the dream, i was very very scared, i thought that i have a virus  as the scales were spreading on my body. The dream always stop when i screamed and jump out of my bed, luckily my dad didn't hear.

A few minute later, my dad knocked on the door and asked "Christina, are u awake? if you don't wake up now and eat your breakfast, you are going to be late for school."

I replied by saying "Okay dad! Just wait a second, i'm changing into my school uniform"

I opened the door and saw my dad in his working outfit, i knew that he was going to the palace to work again and he wouldn't be home for a few days, so i rushed and hug him. Tears ran down my cheeks.

He asked "Why are u crying? I'm only going for a few days, and your uncle Orma will be taking care of you."

I wiped the tears from my eyes and replied with a cute voice "But i will miss you!" 

He didn't say much "Okay, i really have to go now, your uncle will bring you home after school."

He waved a good bye, closed the door and leaved.

*Ring* the school bell rung, i went out of the school gates but i don't see uncle Orma anywhere. I wonder what he could be doing now that was so important for him to forget about me.

Minutes have pasted, and still no Orma. Water fill up my eyes, i was about to cry, but a man carried me. I opened my eyes and see uncle Orma carrying me, i was angry at him so i said in a quiet voice "Why did you forget about me, i was so alone"

Orma tried to cheer me up by saying "I am sorry Tina, your uncle had to do something before coming to school and pick you up. Lets go to the "lost souls" and eat your favourite lunch, okay?

I smiled and said "Okay uncle!"

After eating a delicious meal, we headed home but half way through, i collapsed on the ground shaking, my body hurts and i cant move. Orma quickly pick me up and carried me home. At that time, i didn't know what happened to me.

Orma opened the door, rush to my room, put me on my bed. He told me "Everything will be okay Tina, don't worry!"
