EPILOGUE
I held Jac’s hand while we watched Claire, Avian, and Clovis played in the sea in front of Jac’s old house. They were our children Claire five, Avian four, and little Clovis who was two. Jac rubbed my belly, “How are you feeling.” I was going to have another baby. It was five years after Mere died, now I was ruler. The death penalty was abolished and people could make their own choices in who they wanted to marry. “Hello there,” Jack said walking next to Siren and Alodie. Alodie was their three year old daughter. Siren was expecting another baby. We stood there watching our children play and I realized we all had gotten a happy ending.
