I’m the normal sort of girl, stuck in one of those lame-ass high schools.
I have my wavy shoulder-length dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. I’m 5’6 and slim, I could be classified as a nerd for anyone who asked. I don’t wear glasses but I also don’t slut around like the cheerleaders. I’m usually found listening to music or reading. I’m the quiet type of girl. My name is Mollie but my friends call my Monster.
--
I walked down the corridor at school towards my next class and as I opened the door I instantly recognised Justin Bieber, but the other five guys looked unfamiliar. My best friend, Arwyn, walked into class next and screamed running over to me.
“OMG Mollie,” she squealed right in my ear as she jumped up and down. “Guess what!”
“Calm down Arwyn, now what?” I asked not seeing what the big deal is. “ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS MOLLIE!” she yelled at me looking slightly furious.
“What’s the big deal? Justin Bieber and five new guys are in our class,” I said pulling out my school books from my bag. “Monster, those five super hot guys are One Direction!” she exclaimed. I only knew who they were because of Arwyn’s, non-stop, talking about them and their ‘fantastic’ music.
“Oh okay,” I said not really caring, but just to keep her happy I asked “So which one is who?”
Her face instantly lightened up and she smiled. “Well,” she began “that one over there that’s cute as a button is Harry,” she was pointing at the one with hair like Muffin McClay. “That one with the ear piercing and tattoos is Zayn,” it was obvious as the tattoos were a clear give away. “The blonde one with the hot accent is Niall. The one standing on his left is Liam and the one on his right is Louis.” He’s my favourite.
“Okay, thanks. So did you do the homework?” I asked changing the subject. “I can’t believe you’re changing the subject when the five hottest guys and Justin Bieber are in our class! But yes I did complete it,” she shook her head at me.
“Come on class is about to start, we can talk afterwards, I really need to study,” I said as the teacher walked into class. “Okay, okay class,” Mrs Dammers announced “We have six new students in our class. Everyone please welcome Justin, Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Louis,” All that girls that knew who they were screamed while the guys and I grunted a hello. “Everyone please be nice to them,” Mrs Dammers continued.
--
Class finished and I was happy. It was so annoying how all the girls kept screaming or sitting next to the new guys. I walked out of class leaving Arwyn behind. I went and hid in the library. Sitting backwards of the back, I pulled out my lunch and started to eat. I was looking down when a tall shadow loomed over me. Looking up I saw Justin Bieber. “What do you want?” I asked him with my mouth full of food. “So attractive, Monster,” he said with my glaring up at him. “I will repeat. What do you want?”
“Since it angers you, I’ll keep calling you ‘Monster’ I can also tell that you’re not really interested in the One Direction guys and I. So I would like to propose a deal,” he said. “What does it involve me doing?” I asked raising an eyebrow at him. “Nothing overly different than you already are; just make friends with me and the guys. Then I’ll tell you your next task,” he wanted more than what he was leading on. “What’s in it for me?” If he expects me to do this then I want something from it.
“You have three options. One we can make you famous. Two you can have $5000 a week or three you can have both,” he offered. I thought for a while before I answered. “I chose three, and pay starts this week.”
“Sure,” he said. With that I got up and walked off.
--
I woke up the next morning and instantly remembered the deal I had made with the ‘devil’ himself. I didn’t exactly regret it because I was getting paid $5000 a week. Dragging myself out of bed I went over to my bathroom and got ready for my day; wearing my usual shorts, tight shirt and letterman jacket that used to be my brothers.
Downstairs I heard my mother sitting at the table talking to a man. I rushed down to see that it was Justin sitting with my mother, having a civilised conversation. She must have not pulled a knife on him yet. “Justin, what are you doing here?” I asked surprised to see him. “I’m here to pick you up for school love,” he said pulling out his car keys. “Mother you let him in here? What the hell were you thinking?” I accused her.
“Darling, your lovely boyfriend came to pick you up for school. You should be nicer, it’s very kind of him,” my mother said ‘oh so calmly’. “HE ISN’T MY BOYFRIEND!” I yelled at her, getting frustrated. “Come on Justin we’re going,” I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl, snatched my bag off the floor and rushed out the door.
--
I got outside and waited by Justin’s car for him. He walked out the door yelling ‘Goodbye’ to my mother. “Hop in the car babe,” he said opening my door for me. “Oh such a gentleman,” I replied, my voice full of sarcasm because I was still pissed at him. As we drove the short distance to school Justin tried to make conversation with me.
“Babe, be happy.”
“Don’t call me ‘babe’ Justin, I am not your girlfriend.”
“For the deal to work and for you to become famous one of us six handsome guys is going to be your boyfriend.”
“Well it won’t be you. None of you guys are handsome in anyway. Just let me get to know the others and if that’s what it takes, then fine!” I huffed. We pulled up to the school with everyone staring at us as Justin opened the door for me.
I ran off to class yelling ‘bye’ and ‘thank you’ over my shoulder to Justin. I ran down the hall until I almost reached my class. I was still running when I almost didn’t notice the class door open and I ran into a ‘brick wall’.
“Miss are you okay?” the ‘brick wall’ asked me holding me up. “Oh. Yeah. Sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going, I didn’t see you there,” I apologised. “It’s okay honey. It’s nice to meet you, I’m Zayn,” the ‘brick wall’ called Zayn said. “Oh, I’m Mollie, but everyone calls me ‘Monster’. You’re one of the One Direction boys aren’t you?” I asked holding my books to my chest. “Yes I am. But will that stop us from getting to know each other?” I thought for awhile before I answered. “Yeah I guess we could get to know each other, but what about the other four?” I asked questioning his choice.
“You seem to be friends with Justin and I heard you are friends with that girl Arwyn, who Louis has taken a strong liking to. Liam, Harry and Niall will be happy to hang with a girl who isn’t fan-girling over them,” he started nodded.
“Okay,” I said smiling. “Now if you wouldn’t mind get out of my way I need to get to class.”
“Let me walk you to your seat,” Zayn offered. “Sure,” I was unsure of this even though it wasn’t like he was offering to drop me home.
Zayn walked me to my seat then sat next to me getting his books out. I saw Arwyn walk into class and glare at me. She stopped walking for a while before coming over to me. “Zayn you must have some balls to take my seat next to my best friends,” she growled at him, making him jump in his seat.
“You should move,” I suggested to him, knowing that Arwyn doesn’t let people down easily, when they take her seat.
“But I was sitting here first and I want to sit next to Monster,” he argued banging his hands on the desk like a three year-old, not getting his own way.
