The moon rose high above the ground as Mia approached the tree. It was almost midnight, when the tree's magic would rise from its roots and into the petals.
Mia tried to calm herself as she touched the tree's ancient bark. The tree seemed different almost, but it was hard to tell in the dark.
Suddenly, it was midnight. Mia was burst back by a wave of power as the tree's petals flew off in one big burst. The red petals flew past her as a pink mist began to rise from the ground. Mia felt something beginning to grow inside her, something stronger than strong.

Suddenly, Mia was thrown onto the ground. She wasn't a human anymore. She was a wolf, a wolf with hunger and pride and power.
Mia's puppy began to bark and bark, as Mia shifted into a more dangerous form.
Wolf-Mia exploded out of their backyard and into their front yard. HUNGRY! Her wolf mind screamed. Eat! Mate! Howl!
Mia wasn't herself anymore. She had become a wolf, and she had no control.
As the moon became hidden behind the clouds, the Tree of Destiny crumbled to a black color. All the petals except one, disappeared in a black fog. The wolf jumped up onto a trash can and howled as her fate was sealed. Mia could turn into a wolf.
