"You can't keep me here forever!" I shouted, as loud as I could.“You hear!?" As always, the Topaz, that was posted as my guard, didn't react at all. I sighed angrily, and slumpd down on the floor of my cell. It was a small cell, sealed by a yellow destabilization field. I glanced at my left shoulder, which bore my rectangular, slightly de-shaped jet-black gem. It wasn't very pretty. It had a rough surface, and it's pattern wasn't symmetrical. I guess that's what happens, when you are an result of an apparently faild experiment. You see, I'm not exactly...a gem. More like a...glass, I guess? Stone? You get what I mean. I'm an obsidian. The only one there is. The diamond authority wanted new, more...adjustable soldiers. They wanted a gem that had more strength than a quarz, but...one that was smaller...more agile. I'm the result. I'm about as tall as a lapis lazuli, but have the strength of 3 Jaspers, the speed of a Sapphire, the stamina of an Rose Quarz. However, they...didn't want to use me. They...thought I was...to strong. If they made more than one...HA! As if! They just don't want to use me because I'm not a real gem! I'm a pice of dirt, as they call me. I don't understand. What makes me so different? There's nothing they can do that I can't. Why would they keep me prisoner? Well, I've already been here for 500 years, so I don't think change is coming any time soon.
