Chapter 3

Ahra's POV
_

     "Ahra-ah! Can you help me with this math problem?" Mina said shaking my arm and doing aegyo almost making me spill my 'Red Frappuccino' (It's blood that they make look like a drink they have especially for vampires since this Starbucks is actually ran by them.)

     "Yah! Don't you dare make me spill my drink over my homework. And I'm not helping you either." I said moving her arm away before focusing on my work that I was rechecking to make sure I got the right answers.

     "Well someone's quite the ice princess." Mina pouted before going back to her work.

I sighed, the homework hadn't been that hard and I was already done so I decided to go look at some of the books.
Getting up, I told the girls that I was going to look for a book to read and I'll be back in a little bit.

Running my hands on the spines of the books, I looked for one that might explain the weirdness of my eyes. Of course there probably wasn't, humans are terrified of vampires, and even if this place is ran by them, who would want a book like that lying around for everyone to see?
Then I saw a book that was all the way pushed to the back of the self, and its spine was black so nobody could really see it in the shadow.
     Curious, I pulled it out and dusted off the cover.

Hm. This could be interesting.

     Taking the book with me, I brought it back to our table and put it down making Mari look at me.
     "What's that for?"

      "To look for the secret of my eyes."

As I scanned the pages endlessly, I could feel that Mina was looking over my shoulder and reading as well. Which I didn't mind of course until she yelled in my ear, "There!" her eyes bright with excitement.

"What?" I asked aloud before actually reading the paragraph that she was pointing to.

The different powers given by human and animal bloods combined can make any vampire invincible. Once the treaty between the humans and vampires have been established, the two royal vampire sisters, Celine and Lucine casted a spell on the royal bloodline to combine their two different powers for one drank from humans and one drank from animals to make to make the line invincible as they had special encounters with certain humans which had led them to become wary towards their kind so, with this power a special ability came, whenever a royal felt anything that ever leaded to anger, their eyes would turned into a two-toned colour blood red and pure violet only directed towards humans. Despite this, the power only comes after their 16th birthday and from then on, these royal vampires are trained to hide heir emotions for the safety of their kind.

So I was a royal?

Looking at the others girls, I noticed that they had read over me and Mina's shoulders and are now looking at me with a look disbelief.

"A...royal?" Seyoung asked perplexed. I couldn't blame her though, I was too.

"I guess so." I muttered "There's nothing else that bears any explanation towards my eyes." And that was the last paragraph of the entire book. But my parents didn't tell me anything. Odd.
