A tree sits alone with only it's leaves there to keep it company. The leaves are oranges and browns, reds too. Autumn is a beautiful season but also a sad season. A leaf falls from the tree and slowly sways through the air to get caught on the ground. Rain drops start to fall rapidly, like someone pouring a jug of water through a tennis racket but the jug of water never empties. The leaves like hands held out to catch the droplets. Raindrops run down the tree, like tears. The tree will soon be alone, with no leaves to keep it company, soon they will fall away, soon they will all die together on the ground. The tree, chained and anchored to the ground will have to watch it all, all the leaves that kept it company will die around it and the tree can do nothing about this. Chained to a chain it cannot move. Winter soon comes along. Cold, alone, the tree watches as snow starts to fall. It wishes it's leaves could've watched with it but they're all gone now. Feeling naked, starved of company, the tree just watches as the snow falls. No other trees in sight. Only thing in site is a robin. The robin has a lovely brown back and a charmingly beautiful red chest. The robin looks up at the tree and starts to hop away. The tree yet again left alone to watch the snow fall. One day in winter, the weather changes suddenly. Black clouds form all around, rain starts to fall. Thunder echoes for miles around. The tree watches as lightning cracks through the clouds and strikes the ground, some fires start in the distance. The rain starts to fall faster, thunder starts to sound louder and lightning seems to get closer. The tree tells itself that it'll be fine. Piercing thunder fills the ears of all living creatures for miles around. The tree, still anchored to the ground can't do anything. Suddenly a flickering burst of yellow engulf the tree. As suddenly as the yellow light came, it disappeared leaving the tree with orange veins and fire like hair. One of the trees branches breaks off and falls to the ground. The tree is in pain yet it can't move, chained to the Earth by it's roots, it stays there, alone, slowly burning, slowly dying.
