I pulled up to my mom house and grabbed Laya out the car. I got my key out and walked in to the house.
Me: Ma! Look who I brought to see you.
Keisha: My two favorite people. Hey Talaya!
Talaya: Hey Grandma!
Keisha: let Grandma give you some kisses.
She walked over to her and gave her a kiss on her cheek.
Talaya: Can I go play with my blocks Grandma?
Keisha: You gone right ahead sweetie.
I put Her down and she ran to her blocks. Me and ma sat on the couch and started talking.
Me: How you been ma?
Keisha: I'm good baby, what's going on with you?
Me: Nothin. Just took Rai out. Thought I'd stop by.
Keisha: And where's Irie?
Me: Out somewhere wit her friends.
Keisha: So she's jerking her responsibilities once again huh.
Me: Nah she good ma I ain't trippin.
Keisha: She stopped workin right?
Me: Yea, I'd rather she stay home and take care of Laya.
Keisha: Yet she never has her.
Me: she has her all day til I get home, den I get her.
Keisha: Doesn't matter.. you shouldn't be the only one doin it while she out having fun.
Me: Sheesh! You Killin me Ma.
Keisha: Why cause I told the truth? And don't get me wrong I love my lil grandbaby to death, but she don't look nothin like you.
Me: so, she looks like her mom
Keisha: I searched this girl up and down for one tiny feature. I even waited 3 whole years for her to get darker and she ain't change a shade yet.
Me: Stop talkin crazy.
Keisha: What about her eye color? It's greenish.
Me: Irie's mom has green eyes remember??
Keisha: Yea, but last time I checked you and Ruth have brown eyes. Now I'm not the smartest in the world, I don't remember shit from biology, but her eye color not addin up for me. Somethin wrong wit da girls eyes. And she should at least look somethin like you.
Talaya: Daddy?
Me: Yes princess?
Talaya: Is there something wrong wit my eyes? Grandma said there's something wrong with my eyes.
Keisha: Aww grandma didn't mean that, there's nothing wrong with your eyes baby girl.
Me: I can't believe you.
I got up and started walking to the door with Laya.
Keisha: Xavier I didn't mean it like that. I walked out the house and got in the car with Laya.
