"for the past two weeks jack has been so sweet and it is like i am living a fairy tale. but something told me it was to good to be true." i said to my best friend nyla who was visiting for the week
"man, it must be nice because i'm single as fuck" she said playfully while putting on sunscreen
i laughed but then continued on talking about jack.
"even though he's being so kind and loving towards me, i'm still kind of confused. he does things a boyfriend would do but we are just a "thing" ? like we have no titles and i dont know it's literally so confusing" i said looking up at the sky.
"lacey. you're over thinking this, maybe he's just waiting for the right time... like you've said before, he's never been in a serious relationship before."
"yeah, you're probably right" i sighed
"i mean of course i'm right... i'm always right." nyla flipped her hair playfully "now lets go, i wanna see if i can find any cute life guards around here" nyla jumped up while i laughed

i was in my room when i got a text from jack telling me he was coming over, but he ended up coming through my window literally one minute later.
"why don't you just go through the front door like a normal human being jack" i said while smiling
"now what's the fun in that?" jack responded while giving me a kiss. "what are you doing here?" i asked because it was almost midnight.
"my parents are out of town and i feel weird being home alone, so i came here"
"awww jack you are so adorable, you didn't wanna be home alone?" i said while grinning widely
"yeah yeah whatever" jack tried not to smile but failed. "by the way my friend nate is having a party tomorrow and you are my date" jack added
"how are you so sure i want to go?" i asked playfully
"well i mean since your new here i thought you could meet my friends" jack said while going to lay on my bed.
"i'll go as long as you stay with me, like you said i'm new here and i dont know anyone" i respond
jack and i spent the rest of the night here watching movies until i fell asleep.
