Harry Potter and The Return Of Fred Weasley

Nineteen years later.

Albus had just gone to Hogwarts for the first time. Lily, Harry and Ginny were sitting in their usual seats at home, doing what they usually did. Harry did paperwork, he worked at the ministry. gLily read her books and practiced spells. She never did anything else. She was like Hermione in that sense. She was all about the studying. Ginny stared at nothing. The Potter family hadn't been the same since that day.

"Okay, this is getting boring," lily announced, slamming her book shut.

"what is, Lils?" Harry looked up from his paperwork.

"this. Dad, all you do is paperwork, and mum, you just stare into space. its like youve forgotten you have a ten year old daughter to look after. Yeah, Mum, you lost a brother, dad, you lost a friend, but it's been 19 years! For god's sake, Nan and Grandad are more fun than this and it was their SON! Like, if we lost James, I'd understand the moping around, but he's a 5th year Gryffindor! He's still here! And anyway, Mum, do you actually think Uncle Fred would want you just moping around all day, doing nothing? No! He'd want you to be doing something, going somewhere in life! He'd want you to do what he couldn't, be successsful! Not turn into a miserable old tosser because he's gone!"

"Lily Luna Potter! How dare you speak to your mother like t-"

"No, Harry. She's right. He wouldn't want me moping around like this. He'd want me to be playing with my kids, treasuring what i have and doing something with my life, not sitting around staring into space all the time. I should be continuing his memory, being happy for him, smiling because I knew him, not crying because he's gone." Ginny stopped him. This had  to be said. In the end, Harry, Ginny and Lily went out for the day. They went to play Quidditch, then they went to Honeydukes and then, finally, they went to see Fred's grave.

"Hey, Freddie. Lily made me realise something today. You'll probably be thinking, 'about time, too, Gin'. I can't blame you. I'd be thinking the same thing if it was me rthat was having a blast with Merlin, pranking Dumbledore and chilling with Remus and Tonks. I'd probably laugh. To be fair, your probably laughing too.It's not just me who's been an idiot. George hasn't smiled in years. He needs you, Freddie. Give him a sign. Show him you're still here somewhere...plese, Fred. We need you. The family's falling apart. Charlie won't go back to Romania, Bill's getting Mum's ridiculous haircuts that look like the result of a riddikilous spell gone wrong, Ron...well, he's the same old Ron, George hasn't cracked a joke since you died. He still pauses in the middle of sentences , waiting for you to finish them...He needs you most. He cries when he sees his own reflection, because he thinks of you. We all miss you, but George is too close to the edge. Mum and Dad are managing, but Dad doesn't talk bout muggles anymore. He's no longer fascinated with them. It was Dad's birthday yesterday. We'd all gathered round the table when mum looked around confused and asked 'where's freddie?' and then she realised. It took us three hours to get her to stop crying. She's coping beter than all of us, though. We need our brother. Some of us, our older brother, others, our younger brother. Percy's still an annoying git. 'Humungus Bighead', as you once called him. Mum's still got your suit that matches George's. Georgie isn't the same. elp him. Just give him a sign your watching him. Make him believe again. Make him smile. Thanks, Freddie. See you soon, Freddie. Bye..." Ginny, Harry and Lily layed and bunched of flowers down, took one last look at the words under Fred's DOB-DOD, which read "Mischeif has finally been managed. A brother, friend and solmate, now annoying Merlin up in Heaven. He solemly swears he is up to no good", smiled and walked away. Little did they know how soon they'd be seeing the young man that had been layed to rest in Godric's Hollow.
