I was fading away in front of their eyes. My entire family was gathered around my hospital bed. There was recently a catastrophic accident that sent me into a coma. Now, after 2 months, my time is coming to an end. I could hear the muffled sniffles of the smaller kids to my right. The urge to reach out and comfort them was great, but I know I can't move.
