Here I am. Nikki Maxwell, completing 15 Springs. Yeah, today, July 30th, is my birthday.
I know I should be happy and excited for my birthday party tonight with all of my friends, but I can't. Instead of feeling happy, I feel sad, depressed. Maybe I'm being a little overreated but that's how I feel right now, and I can't deny it.
You may be asking why. So I'll tell you. It's 6 pm and Brandon still hasn't wished me happy birthday. Not even a call, or a text! This is really weird. All of my friends already congratulated me, except for him. What's wrong? Did he forget today is my birthday? Is he mad at me? Or even worse: Did he forget me at ALL?
Okay, calm down Nikki. I think I'm really overreating. I mean, I know we haven't really seen each other since school ended, but I don't think that because of that he would forget about me out of nowhere. Maybe his phone simply died so he hadn't gotten the chance to wish me happy birthday. And now I'm getting scared that he might doesn't even come to my birthday party. I hope that doesn't happen. That would break my heart into a million-
"Nikki? Nikki!" my mom shouts while I was lost im my thoughts, bringing me back to reality. "Um? What?" I ask, a little confused.
"I said that it's time for you to get ready for your birthday party! It's only 1 hour away and you still need to do your hair and make up! Hurry up!" my mom says pulling me to my bedroom.
Well, this party's gonna be interesting. I really hope Brandon comes.
