Chapter 10

Zoey and Chloe already left. Okay, now it's time to think. How am I going to do this abortion?
I think I'll wait for tomorrow. I mean, it's already 8pm.
And I'm going to need some rest. I know it's gonna be hard...really hard.
I still didn't completely recover from the shock I had when I discovered I was pregnant. But I feel a little more calm at least. Let's hope everything goes as planned...

*1 hour later*

I'm feeling nauseous again. Just great. Besides, my parents just came home.
And, I don't why but...I feel strange just looking at them now. It feels like I'm another person...like I'm not just their little girl anymore but...a pregnant girl. A pregnant girl whose parents would be so disappointed if they discovered she was in that situation.
My thoughts are suddenly interrupted as I hear a knock on my room's door.
"Nikki? Can I come in?" I hear my mom's voice ask.
I think for a few seconds.
"Yeah...come in" I say, my voice hoarse.
She enters my room, and the second I look at her, I burst into tears.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?!"
She looks me in the eyes and strokes my hair, trying to calm me down.
"N-nothing, mom. It's okay." I try to say between sobs.
"Not it's not, Nikki, tell me what's wrong with you!"
"I ALREADY SAID IT'S NOTHING!" I yell, tears streaming down my face.
My mom looks at me with wide eyes. That's the last thing I saw before my vision becomes blurry and I feel sharp pain in my stomach.
I try to tell my mom to help me, but no words came out of my mouth. Screams did.
The worst pain I've ever felt was going through my stomach zone, in the place where the baby is.
I cry in pain as my mom, screams in panic for my dad to come help her take me to the hospital.
The next thing I remember is being in the car, my mom holding my hand and telling me I'll be okay.
We arrive to the hospital and my dad picks me up bridal style and carries me through the halls looking for a doctor, my mom following him as I try to hold back the pain I was feeling in my stomach.
We find one of those doctors who do ultrasounds and she leads me and my parents to a room and lays me on those weird hospital beds.
"My daughter says she's feeling a sharp pain on her stomach, Miss. Please help her." My mom says, tears on her eyes.
"I see. Is she feeling this kind of pain for the first time?" The doctor asks.
"Yes, she is" my mom answers before I can.
"Okay. We'll need to do an ultrasound to check what's wrong, if it's okay with the patient's parents."
"Yes, it is" My dad assures.
My heart stops for a minute. An ultrasound?! Oh, no. No. What if they detect the baby in the ultrasound? That shit can't happen. It CAN'T.
"Actually, I d-don't think I need an ultrasound...can't I just a rest and see if the pain goes away?" I ask, trying not to panic.
"Nikki, no. You'll do an ultrasound, we need to see what's wrong with you" My mom says before I can say any other thing to convice her.
"And don't even argue" My dad says pointing a finger in my face.
And at that moment I give up. Fuck it if they know I'm pregnant. I try to calm down as the doctor starts to put this weird gel in my belly.
She starts doing the ultrasound and looks at a computer that shows the inside of my stomach.
I feel my mom's hand squeezing mine, and I squeeze hers back.
The doctor examinates for some minutes and suddenly I hear a heartbeat coming from the computer and I freeze, tears slowly forming in my eyes.
My parents notice the sound and look at the doctor with wide eyes.
"D-doctor, what's that sound we're hearing? Is it just our daughter's heartbeat?" My dad asks.
"You parents didn't know?" The doctor asks.
"Didn't know what?!" My mom asks raising an eyebrow.
"Your daughter is pregnant. Two weeks."
As I hear this words, I just want to die.
I look at my parents with tears in my eyes as they look at me with a shocked/disappointed expression in their faces, my mom slowly letting go of my hand.
"I'm sorry" I whisper, crying my eyes out.
