"-raig...Craig...CRAIG!"I almost jolted out of my seat.Clyde's face was only mere inches away from mine, and he looked pissed. I flipped him off.He sighed exasperatedly, and asked, "What is wrong with you today? You're even morezombie-ish than normal, and you fell asleep during class. You didn't even threaten to beat upCartman this morning!"I just shrug. I look around, and notice that no one but Clyde, Token and I were in the classroom. My eyes dart to the clock.11:48.The lunch bell rang three minutes ago. I stood up, and Token and Clyde move along with me.I felt dizzy.Once we're outside the classroom, we make our way over to behind the school. The snow has started to melt away, but wispy, grey clouds now dot the sky lazily.I pulled out my lighter, fingers wavering. Token grimaced, "When are you going to quit?" I hearhim mutter under his breath. I ignore it, as usual. The smell invades my senses, and I breathe in. The scent of ash and smoke clings to me, and Iwelcome it with open arms. My lungs burn, and I gladly ignite the feeling further.Token leans against the wall, and stares at me coolly.

"Something's bothering you. You neversmoke at school, and you certainly never miss the chance to beat someone up, either."The lingering smoke gets tugged away by the wind, like it's following the trail to the heavensabove. It dissipates."Clyde," I start, "Just how scared did you feel when you fell into the pond?"Clyde looks startled for a minute, before he scowls at me fiercely,

"Hey, that wasn't fuckingfunny, Tucker-""I know, I know," I try to placate him, "I just really want to know."He glares at me again, but answers, "It was terrifying. I only walked across the pond because Iwanted to shortcut to the other side without walking around it, but y'know of course somethinggoes wrong." Clyde swished the smoke out of his face, "Why are you asking anyway, Craig?"Token looks interested now. My shoulders start to shake.

"Ikindofjumpedintothepondlastnighttosavetwitchesfromdying,"If the word bewildered was a human, it would look like Token, I decide."Out of all the years I've know you, Craig Tucker, for once, I have no idea what the hell you justsaid." Clyde interjects, pushing his hand roughly through his hair, tangling his fingers in hisbrown locks. The breeze starts to pick up.My breath hitches.

I stagger to my feet, ignoring the loud crack and groans beneath me.Tweek is coughing up water, and frost starts to form on the tips of his yellow hair.I don't hesitate for a moment to lean down and scoop him into my arms. He was lighter than Iexpected. With all the willpower that I possessed, I precariously make my way across the pond. The wind was harsh, and my breath came out in gasps. The taste of cigarette was still on mytongue, and for a moment I regret having to put it anywhere near Tweek. He was still coughing.I go as fast as I can, willing myself not to slip, but my socks were soggy, and I lost my footing.I was screaming, Tweek was shaking.Fuck!I hit the ice with a grunt, and I immediately roll onto my back, trying to avoid crushing Tweek.

Ihaul myself back onto my feet. I adjust my grip on Tweek, and continue with redoubleddetermination. We're a quarter of the way their now.So close, yet still dangerously far.I almost collapse into the snow at the other side, my knees weak. I shakily placed Tweek ontothe bench. His head tipped forwards. His hands were twitching. I couldn't tell if he was shiveringfrom the cold, or if he was spazzing.I wanted to grip his shoulders, and ask him what the fuck he was thinking but there was justno time to worry about that right now.I find my jacket.Tweek passes out.Fuck.I remove my phone and cigs from the pocket of my jacket, and immediately wrap the article ofclothing around Tweek's shoulders.I call 911.

"-Tucker you piece of shit WAKE UP!"It was Clyde again. His face was etched with anxiety but mostly bordering on fear.I realize, after a moment, that I was lying in the snow. The wetness soaked my hat, and I watch the snowflakes dance gently onto the floor around me.The sun caressed the flakes, making them glow a beautiful silver-blue.Token hauls me to my feet. My vision tunnels in."We are ditching school right now and so help me God if you don't tell us what happened, I willpersonally delete every single recorded episode of 'Red Racer' off your T.V."Well, that was one way to motivate me.They wrap my arms around their shoulders, allowing me to use them for support, and I leanheavily onto Clyde.Fuck this vulnerability.'No fucking duh I got sick. I swam in ice cold water in winter, wore wet clothing for over an hour, walked over ten miles in the snow, and didn't warm up correctly.'Hypothermia is one of the first dangers you learn about, in a city like South Park.I nearly trip over my own damn feet, but Clyde and Token keep a strong grip on me.
