Lil Johnny woke up for his first day of preschool. He climbed out of bed and strolled into the kitchen.
"Hello mother. I shall make some tea now. Would you like a serving?" Johnny said to his mother.
"Ahh. Yes, my son. I would love some delectable tea." His mother responded.
"Fantastic! I'll turn the stove on."
"Alright, dear." She said and returned to the newspaper.
Lil Johnny turned the stove on and prepared the tea pot. He placed the Chenin Blanc tea leaves in the pot. He waited until the water was a beautiful blackish. His father strutted in and spotted the tea.
"Sonny boy! Is that some tea you be making?" His father shouted.
"Yes, father. Please lower your voice while inside the living quarters. You wouldn't want me to get a migraine before school, would you?" Johnny replied.
"Okay sonny-o! I'll be silent. I'll zip my lips and not make any noise. Nope. None at all. Trust me. I'll be as silent as meese. Silento! Heh heh heh... Silento. Teehee! Now watch me whip, now watch me nae nae." His father says as he starts to dance along to Watch Me.
"Father, please stop. You are bothering me. Also, there is no such thing as meese. If you were referring to multiple beings of a mouse, it would be mice."
"Alrighty sonny boy. I'll leave you be. Toodaloo!"
Johnny sighed and returned to the tea.
He turned the stove off and poured the tea into to teacups.
He walked over to his mother, placing the cups on the tea table.
"Mother, drink up. You have no time to waste! Your work shift starts in 30 minutes. This tea must be finished by then."
"Okay, Johnny. Thank you for reminding me." His mother smiled and sipped her tea.
"I am extremely grateful you listened, mother."
"Mhm"
30 minutes later
"Mother! You must go to work now!" Johnny announced.
"Okay, son. Have fun at preschool!"
"Shoo!"
"Byeee! I love you."
"Shoo!"
Johnny sat down at the tea table and checked the temperature of his tea.
It had to be perfect.
The perfect mixture between hot and cold.
Lukewarm.
Whenever the tea met his expectations, it was absolutely scrumptious. Lukewarm tea was the best kind of tea. It enhanced the flavor beautifully.
Lil Johnny drank his tea in silence. When he finished, he delicately placed the teacup by the sink.
He then walked up the stairs and into his room. He arrived at the closet and started to investigate his suspenders. He found some snazzy teal ones and strapped them to his pants.
He went into the hall bathroom to apply hair gel. Johnny slicked his hair back so he looked like a proper gentleman.
Johnny brushed his teeth intensely while humming All Stars. Shrek was his favorite movie.
And with that, Johnny was ready for his first day of preschool.
He sure hoped the year would be perfect. Because after all, you're only 4 once.
