Take a look at the picture above. See the cute hen sitting determinedly on a little chick?, good. This story is about her, my very first hen. A very long time ago, 2014 maybe, our neighbors gave us this cute hen along with another hen named Fluffy Feathers, who is for another story. Hazel was cute and fat, a good egg layer but she hated humans, a lot. She would practically run when she saw us. We did manage to pick her up sometimes... but she still hated us. She was a really protective hen tho, when Fluffy died and we got Maryi she was so mean! I felt rly bad so Maryi became babied by yours truly, but eventually she and Maryi became best friends actually. They still love eachother to this day. I know what you wAnT. Who's that's smol chick, to this I say, her name is a Chocolate Puffball. Puff puff. Hazel went broody sometime in Summer of 2016 so we gave her fertilized eggies. And she sat and sat and sat. 10 eggs, exactly, 1 hatched. The others?.. 6 broke, by Maryi and us, and even Hazel lol, 2 legit disappeared. One day I was peeking underneath her and 2 eggs were missing. That's it. No shell, yolk, chick, nothing. 1 was a rotten egg, and the other was chocolate Puffball. How cute is she ❤️❤️❤️ Chocolate is all grown up now tho, and she is still adorable. Hazel went broody again, but we decided we had enough chickens lol, so we gave her a bath bc her feathers were gross .~. And she was all better. Hazel is that kind of chicken that doesn't want attention, but rather to be near other hens. She always cries bc she is all alone ❤️❤️ she's so cute. That's basically Hazels life.
