"I am sorry King Beast but this is crazy. You are going to send me to the Isle of the Lost because I used magic?" I wonder if I can get this to work in my favor.
"Yes, you have used magic way too much without any kind of guidelines, Marina." I don't think that King Beast understands what he has done.
"How are you going to protect your son to make sure that he won't get hurt? You know that I am of the best warriors Auradon has ever seen." Maybe that was a little more brash than I wanted. I don't want to insult some of the other great warriors that I have had a chance to fight with.
"I believe that he will be safer without you around using magic. Don't you think that you're use of so much magic would one day hurt him?" Like you're not hurting him by putting him under a lot of pressure to be a great king. He's still young and you are making him feel trapped.
"I am well practiced at my magic just so you know. I have been doing this for a lot longer than you have even been around." At least a hundred years more. I stopped counting a long time ago.
"How dare you speak like that to the king?" Ugh, sometimes royal advisors and protocols can be very annoying.
"It is time for you to go. Guards take her to the Isle and make sure she doesn't follow you back."
In some ways, this went better than I expected. The guards are pulling me rather roughly but it doesn't really bother me. I will need to be able to handle harsh conditions to do well on the Isle.
*Sorry to bother you with an author's note, but this is my first story. Please give constructive criticism. The only character I own is Marina. The picture at the beginning is her basic outfit.*
