Chapter Two [2]

"'Cause you're different, you're beautiful."

Just as those words fall from Harry's lips, I can feel the faint pink blush that seeps into the pores of my cheeks.

I've been complimented 'beautiful' many times in my years of living, but never like this. He sounds so real, so genuine and sincere. But how many other girls has he called "beautiful"?

Even though he has me convinced he meant what he said with his jade eyes warming into my soul, I need to block his compliment out of my mind and not let him know it affected me.

So I shrugged it off, giving him a small 'thanks' as we started to walk down the hall together.

I felt awkward, and wanted to avoid any further conversation with Harry.

Thankfully, I'm able to when the girls come into view, all of them walking in a line, side by side.

Then they started to exchange whispers when they notice I'm with Harry, and instantly they drooled over the sight of him.

I stood there, leaning against the locker as I watched the girls all over Harry in amazement.

"Say something again! I love your accent," Ariana flirts, twirling a strand of her bright, crimson red hair in her index finger.

"Something," Harry says slowly and sarcastically, waving around his hands and the girls of course, dissolved in giggles and toothy smiles, even Lucy was all over Harry.

Speaking of her, where is her boyfriend?

I scanned my eyes down the halls until they landed where I thought he would be.

Bryce is with his usual crowd, the crowd full of this school' sports jocks.

I didn't realize I was staring, until I was caught.

Bryce's piercing blue eyes locked with mine, and a smirk crept upon his perfect face as he excused himself from the crowd, walking towards my direction. His jaw bones have such definition; his dark thick hair is styled in a messy, natural way. But he's nothing compared Harry.

Whoa. What? Did I just compare him with Harry?! More importantly, did I just say Harry looks better than Bryce?!

I winced out of my thoughts when a loud finger snapped in my ear, and a large hand was being waved in front of my face.

"What? Keep your paws to yourself," I grumbled, looking up to match Bryce's flawless face.

He smirked, "You were checking me out, weren't you?"

I scoffed, rolling my eyes, "Pah-lease." Because we both know that was totally true.

As if knowing I was preparing to be on my death bed out of humiliation, a familiar thick accent budges into our conversation.

"Bells gonna ring soon. We got to get going." Harry says to me, but his gaze is towards Bryce's direction.

Bryce nodded his head and turned on his heels towards his normal group.

What the hell was all about?

Harry snatched my forearm, dragging me behind him to our class.

"What was that all about?" I pout as soon as he releases his death grip on my arm.

"Nothing." He huffs, taking a seat towards the back and I accompany him in the desk in front of him.

I flipped my long hair over my shoulders, and just as I did, a familiar poke indented on my side.

"What?" I half yell whisper, as Harry draws back his pencil.
