We kissed
A kiss laced with poison
You pulled me in
Took control
Attached ropes
Kept me in hold
I tried to escape
You always caught me
Until the time
I took a hint
I kissed you back
Broke the spell
I finally realized
You weren't hurting me
I was hurting you
I didn't know
I was rejecting your love
And finally
You let go
I realized
I love you too
But it was too late
I missed my chance
I was too concerned
With myself
That I lost the love of my life
When they were right in front of me
