Naomi's life has never been...well normal at least when it came to what most would consider the supernatural. You see since Naomi could remember the supernatural had always been a part of her life. From a young age she knew the world was filled with people and creatures that others was told was fairy tales or folktales.

She remembered at the age of 6 watching her grandmother work in her garden and the flowers just seemed to bloom for her when she would gently caress the stems, her grandmother would always murmur a thank you to the flowers with a soft smile.

She remember going to the beach with her cousins and some of their friends as a kid and she swore she witness one of the girls grew gills from her neck when she entered the ocean...to be fair that girl was a really good swimmer.

It wasn't until Naomi was 12 that her family confirmed her suspicions that there was something very special about the world and very special about Naomi herself.

She remember that it was a very hot and humid day, living in Florida was hell during the summer but Naomi still enjoyed sitting out of the porch swing at her grandmother's house reading while sipping on her mama's famous ginger peach tea.
She wasn't sure what one of her bad ass cousins did it but she remembers one of them knocking the swing causing her to spill her tea.

At least she thought she did, she doesn't know why her immediate thought was to stop the liquid from spilling or how she stopped it but what she does know was in her hands was an sphere of tea just floating.

The scream little Naomi let out could of woke the dead.

She remember running into her grandma's house in a blind panic (the blind part was partly because one of the beads at the end of her braids hit her in the eye but she didn't have time to worry about that)

It took her parents and her grandparents a good hour to calm her down long enough for them to explain what was going on. That Naomi came from a very very long line of supernatural beings.

Wait… Daddy?” She looked over at her father who shot her a grin before lifting his hand and a small flame manifest in his palm.

“Warlock sweetie.” He told her in his rich baritone. Naomi blinked, slowly nodding her head before she looked over at her mom. She smiled sweetly at her daughter.

“Like your grandmother.” She answered the unspoken question. This was a lot for the 12 year old to take in, but she had more questions. A lot more.

“Are...are we the only ones?” Naomi asked. She frowned at that thought. It would be tragic if they were a dying kind. She heard her grandfather hearty chuckle before he answered her question.

“No lightening bug we ain't, the world is filled with those like us. We just keep hidden.” Naomi nodded her head. That night the family discussed this new world with Naomi. They told her about every possible creature that she could think of.

And since then Naomi's eyes had be open to a whole new world, one where you notice little things that she feel like most humans wouldn't notice.
The slight iridescent shimmer on some girl's skin. A flicker of gold in that guy eyes in the gym.
Little things that.

But with others...it's a lot easier to tell that they aren't quite human. Not by their looks, but by their energies.

Pantheons,” She remember her father mentioning. “They are those who are born to be the host bodies of a God. They are very rare.”
