Chapter 1: We Meet Again

-10 years later-

Allen's POV
Mexican International Airport

"Deep breaths" I tell myself as I walk to the check-in area with my luggage. "You can do this" I sigh and cautiously pass the security guards nodding in greeting. Just as I pass the checking machine with my luggage, I hear a beep.

"Stop right there!" a security officer says and I have no option but to obey. "Come back with your luggage sir"

"Shit!" I repeat in my head as I slowly turn back and walk towards the officer.

"Good day officer" I manage to keep my cool despite the tension building up in me.

"Good day to you too sir. May I search your bags?"

"No. Now if you don't mind, I'll be on my way" I turn to leave but he drags me back.

"When I say 'may I' I mean 'I want to and I'm authorised to' so bring your bags for me to search"

I sigh and lay my luggage on the floor then I open it. The officer searches thoroughly and finds 200 pounds of cocaine on me.

"Care to explain yourself?" The officer raises an eyebrow.

"What's there to explain?" I fire back

"I'm afraid I'll have to report you to the authorities"

"Don't be afraid, take me"

The officer puts someone to stand in his place then takes me to my archenemy, Montiago.

"If it isn't Ally boy" he says

"Hi Monkey-ago"

"It's Montiago!" he roars and I simply roll my eyes. "What did you do this time?"

"Why not ask your esteemed officer?"

"What did he do?" He asks the officer referring to me.

"He tried pushing drugs into the country sir" he replies.

"Finally!" Montiago exclaims standing up from his seat. "Something that must be testified in court" he turns to the officer. "Thank you officer, you may go back to your post"

The officer nods in respect and goes back to his post. Montiago watches him leave then his head snaps back to me.

"Do you know the consequence of your act? Death!" He snaps dramatically.

"Let me be judged first"

"Alright, since you don't want to accept the truth, follow me" he turns and walks away with me following behind. He takes me out and leads me to his car.

"Enter, I'll be right with you" he opens the door for me to enter and goes a bit further bringing out his phone. He comes back some minutes later.

"You have a court case next week and you'll be staying in jail till then. Don't worry, I'll drive you" he enters the driver's seat and drives directly to the jail where I'll be staying till my court case.

One week later, I am driven to the court where Montiago is waiting for me.

"Ready to be sentenced to death?" He asks grinning wickedly.

"You'll be shocked at what will happen" I smile mischievously.

"The first case: Allen Manchester vs Montiago San-Peres" the usher says.

"Allen Manchester, you have been charged for attempted drug pushing. Anything you want to say before the case begins?" The judge asks.
