•Alexis' POV•
"Alexis get your butt downstairs your going to be late for school" I herd my dad yell from the kitchen. I was dreading the first day back to school, I was now in 10th grade and just moved to Virginia from Florida. My mom and dad split shortly after I was born. Everyone would always tease me saying on how I was a mistake that my mom never loved me and that's why she left. I never took hate well, so I got in a lot if fights at school. My dad and I moved here to get a fresh start for the both if us. Although I wanted to berid of the bullies I never wanted to leave my few friends that loved me for who I was and didn't judge me.
I dragged my still lifeless body from the comfort of my bed and headed to the bathroom. I stepped into the shower and let the hot water cascade down my body taking the tension away from the thought of being picked on for being new.
After about twenty minuets I got out and dried off. I walked over to my closet and pondered what to were. I finally found something decent, a graphic tee and some dark skinny jeans with my teal converse. I went back to the bathroom and put in my contacts applied my make up and tousled my hair so it would curl better when it air dried.
I walked to the bus stop and got a few glares. I tried to pay no attention but it was hard. Finally the bus came and everyone filed in and sat in a spot as if they owned it. I sat in the very back empty seat and plugged in my head phones to try and distract myself from the rude comments and sneers. As I walked off the bus I headed to the guidance office to get my schedule.
I walked out of the office and into the hall to head to my locker. As I was putting my stuff into it some girls walked toward me. "Hey, your the new kid right" one of them said in a rude tone smacking on her gum. "Ya" I replied slightly worried what was going to happen. She just stood there like she was plotting her next move. I stood up and took a step in the other direction but was soon tripped my the girl's high heals. I fell to the ground hitting someone as I fell. I look up and see a tall boy staring at me. I couldn't find the words to say so I just lied there with a dumb look on my face as I stared into his light brown eyes. "Are you okay" he asked holding a hand out to help me up. I accepted and was pulled to my feet. "S-sorry" I said stuttering. I mentally face palmed myself, why do you always embarrass yourself in front of people. "It's okay" he said as he knelt down and picked up my books. I tried to take them but he wouldn't let me. "Are you new" he asked. "Ya" I said looking down so he didn't see that I was blushing, a hot guy holding your books how could you not. "Let me see your schedule" he said as he grabbed it out of my hand. Examining it he started to grin. "You have all the same classes as me, so follow me and you should survive the day" he said smiling. You couldn't help but smile back for his grin was contagious. Maybe this would be good after all, or maybe it could blow up in your face but for right now you just cherished the moment and hoped it would last forever.
